ODP Subregional College Combine

2013 ODP Subregional College Combine

Selected players in our older age groups (95s-99s) will attend the ODP Subregional College Combine, which will return for its third edition this summer.

The College Combine is being hosted by the Louisiana Soccer Association on the University of Louisiana at Monroe campus.  This event will feature a mix of team training and interstate games over a three-day weekend, and will also include a seminar on the college scouting, recruitment, and selection process. Players will be housed in the ULM dorms and meals will be provided in the cafeteria, starting with dinner on Friday night (June 28th) and ending with breakfast on Sunday morning (June 30th).

Check-in will run from 2-4pm on Friday, and check-out will be at Noon on Sunday. Girls will check in at University Commons I dorms, and boys will check in at University Commons II.

Players will need to bring completed copies of the following two forms with them, along with a copies of their current medical insurance cards:

The following documents contain other important details for players who will be attending the Combine.  Players should read and understand the Code of Conduct, but we do not need to collect signed copies of this form:

Players will be responsible for providing their own travel arrangements to and from the Combine. We encourage players to travel together to this event to reduce their cost of gas, and we will help players to organize carpools in advance. Parents are welcome to attend all events during the Combine, including the college soccer seminar on Saturday, and we will be making arrangements for discounted room rates at several nearby hotels for any family members who will be staying in Monroe during the Combine.

The Combine will give college coaches in the region a chance to assess prospective players in both training and competitive situations.  Coaches from the following colleges and universities attended last year, and we expect to add more to this year's event:

  • Central Baptist College (Men & Women)
  • John Brown University (Men & Women)
  • Louisiana Tech (Women)
  • Louisiana College (Men & Women)
  • LSU (Women)
  • LSU-Shreveport (Men & Women)
  • McNeese State (Women)
  • Nicholls State (Women)
  • Ouachita Baptist (Men & Women)
  • Southern University (Women)
  • University of Louisiana-Monroe (Women)
  • University of the Ozarks (Men & Women)

The cost to attend the College Combine is $235 per player (this fee is waived for players who are also attending the Region III Camp). An initial, non-refundable deposit of $120 is due by April 28 to confirm each player's spot on the Combine roster (players who miss this deadline may be replaced by an alternate player). A final payment of $115 is due by May 19 (payment must be received by this date, not just mailed). A $25 late fee will be added for any player who has not paid the camp fees in full by May 19.
