FRISCO, Texas (May 15, 2019) – Teams in the 11-Under and 12-Under age groups continued play at the 2019 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer State Cup, the premier club soccer competition in North Texas, as North Texas Soccer teams continue their quest for a state championship and the opportunity to advance to the 2019 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships.

 

Teams in the 11-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups play at Richland College and the University of Texas at Dallas. Champions will be crowned May 19, with the winners in the 13-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups representing North Texas at the 2019 Southern Regional Championships in Baton Rouge La., from June 21-27, 2019.

 

North Texas Soccer State Cup champions will join the other State Cup champions, US Youth Soccer National League Frontier Conference, Mid South Conference, Sunshine Conference and Piedmont Conference winners and select wildcards at the Southern Regional Championships. Regional winners will then represent the South Region at the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships held at in Overland Park, Kan. on July 23-28.

 

The North Texas Soccer State Cup is the first step in the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series. Boys and girls teams in multiple age groups earn their way by competing against the top teams in their state and region. US Youth Soccer State Champions and selected wildcard teams are eligible to compete in one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The champions in the 13U through 19U age groups from each regional event will compete against National League winners at the National Championships.

 

Day 5 Social

11-Under Girls

Sting 08 Bohannon sits at the top of the group with a 3-0 record after a 4-0 win against Chelsea FC 08 Passos, and Dallas Texans 08 Dallas moved into second place with a 3-1 win against FC Dallas 08 JDL Red.

 

11-Under Boys

Solar 08 McKinney is currently in first place of Group A courtesy of a big win over Liverpool 08 Callaghan, while FC Dallas 08 Boys and Dallas Kicks Black sit in first and second place of Group B respectively after Dallas Kicks defeated FC Dallas 08 West 1-0, while FC Dallas 08 Boys won 2-0 over Solar 08 Juliao.

 

12-Under Girls

A pair of Dallas Texans teams lead Group A after Dallas Texans 07 Dallas defeated FC Dallas ETX 07 Venom 8-2, while Dallas Texans 07 West won 2-0 against DFeeters Kicks 07 Vielma. In Group B, FC Dallas 07 JDL Red and Sting West 07 Heinz battled to a scoreless draw, while FC Dallas 07 Central defeated Solar 07 Rundell 3-0.
