The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

UYSA Tryout and Registration Information

UYSA Families-

We are encouraged by the progress the State is making in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and are extremely excited to see our players, coaches and teams back on the field.

We are also excited to announce that with the majority of the State's advancement to the Yellow Phase of Governor Herbert's Utah Leads Together 2.0 Plan and per our discussions with the State Health Department, tryouts will be allowed to be held (with certain restrictions based on our Yellow Guidelines). All clubs were sent these guidelines on Saturday and full compliance from each club is mandatory.

To help you plan for and navigate the tryout and registration process this year, please see the below timeline and information.

UYSA Approved Tryout and Registration Dates for the Upcoming Seasonal Year are Below.

June 1st – Registration opens for players who are looking to RE-Register with their current club for the 2020-2021 seasonal year. This means that a Club/Team can make formal offers to players who were members of their club for the 2019-2020 seasonal year without that player having to attend a tryout – and if the player accepts the offer he or she can register online with that club/team.

June 8th - Try-outs open for the U9- U12 age groups and registration opens for all players. This is the date that clubs can start holding formal tryouts for the U9-U12 age groups. On this date Clubs/Teams can also make formal offers to any player at any age group, regardless of who they were registered with in the 2019-2020 seasonal year – and if the player accepts the offer he or she can register online with that club/team.

June 15th - Try-outs open for U13- U19 age groups. This is the date that clubs can start holding formal tryouts for the U13-U19 age groups.

July 10th - Deadline for teams to be applied to the Fall 2020 State Competition League.

Summary: The main difference between this year and previous years is that a player does not have to attend a tryout to be given a formal offer and register with a team. However, the player still has the option to wait and tryout for any team when formal tryouts open for their age group.

Process linked here and listed below, which includes allowing for a minimum of 48 hours for a player to respond to the offer.

We look forward to the opportunity for your players to get back on the field with their teammates and coaches. Please know that while we are all excited for this return of soccer, your player has options during this time. An offer from your club does not mean that you need to register your player immediately – you have a minimum of 48 hours to respond to any offer. In addition, a player can also wait and attend formal tryouts for any club or team.

If the Fall competitive season is cancelled in its entirety, all players will get a full refund of the UYSA league fee ($21, $25, or $30 a player). If a portion of the season is played and then cancelled players will receive a prorated refund.

Thank you and please stay safe and responsible as we get back on the field.
