UTAH YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION AND THE SOCCER PARENT RESOURCE CENTER ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP PROVIDING SUPPORT AND EDUCATION TO UTAH YOUTH SOCCER PARENTS VIA SOCCERPARENTRESOURCECENTER.COM
Sandy, Utah – 9/14/2019 – Utah Youth Soccer Association and the Soccer Parenting Association announce a partnership agreement by which all clubs and families associated with the Utah Youth Soccer Association will now receive free access to the educational content on the Soccer Parent Resource Center platform.
Soccer Parent Resource Center seeks to improve and enhance the experience for youth soccer players by engaging and supporting the players’ parents on topics related to the Body, Mind, Coach, Parent, Next Level and the Game.
Utah Youth Soccer aspires to be THE premier youth sports organization in Utah. UYSA is the leader in promoting, developing and governing youth soccer in Utah; providing quality educational and developmental opportunities for all members. With educated and USSF or NSCAA licensed coaches, USSF certified referees, insured players, organized leagues, and sanctioned member organizations, UYSA is the largest and most dynamic youth sports organization in Utah.
Established as a non-profit corporation January 9, 1978, Utah Youth Soccer reaches over 50,000 players across the state each year. UYSA is sanctioned by the U.S. Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer to be the governing body of soccer in Utah and is also recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee as the governing body for youth soccer in the state.
According to the National Alliance of Youth Sports and reported in the Aspen Institute “State of Play” report, 70% of youths stop participating in organized sports by the age of 13. While there are many reasons for this unfortunate trend, engaging parents in the game and providing them with education and guidance related to the youth soccer experience of their child is an important step towards reversing this trend.
“Utah Youth Soccer Association is leading the nation with this far-reaching and significant commitment to parent engagement and education by providing all registered families with access to Soccer Parent Resource Center. We are proud to work with UYSA and are looking forward to supporting and empowering parents with information and guidance to ensure their players are inspired – on the fields and in life,” said Skye Eddy Bruce, Founder of the Soccer Parent Resource Center.
Andrew Hiatt, CEO of Utah Youth Soccer Association says, “We are excited to partner with Skye Eddy Bruce and Soccer Parent Resource Center. As a parent, spending time on the soccer field watching your children play the beautiful game provides lasting memories and entertainment through passion and competition. The Soccer Parent Resource Center offers parents written and digital content to that can help better encourage and empower their children while playing soccer. We look forward to watching as parents are able to utilize this training to assist their children in becoming the best athletes and people possible.”
