Utah's National League Champions

Sandy, UT (3/21/2018)

This past weekend we had two of our teams win National League Championships. The National League is an extension of the highly successful US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues. The National League provides an avenue for teams to play in meaningful matches against top competition from across the country for continued development. In addition to recruiting opportunities, National League teams compete for the National League title for their gender age groups and 4 slots in each gender age group of the annual US Youth Soccer National Championships Finals, the oldest and most prestigious youth soccer national championships.

On the boys side, Sparta 00 JK team won the White Championship. The team played 6 across two separate weekends compiling a 4-1-1 record. Max Bingham lead the team in goals scored with 6 while Tanner Kennard was the man between the sticks in goal.

On the girls side, La Roca FD 02 won the Black Championship. Winning all 7 games, by a combined score of 18-5, La Roca was a dominant force in their bracket. Caroline Stringfellow paced the team and the age group in goals, scoring 9.

Both teams will receive automatic berths to the US Youth Soccer National Championships in Texas this July.

Congrats to both teams and way to represent!
