To:       U.S. Soccer Members

Re:       U.S. Soccer Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As of today, U.S. Soccer has decided to postpone or cancel a number of scheduled events through April 30.  This includes, but is not limited to, all National Team programming: Men’s, Women’s, Youth and Extended National teams; Development Academy regular season matches and the upcoming Spring Cup; all Coaching Education and Referee courses, and all Talent Identification opportunities.

We recognize that these decisions have a real impact on you and your own programming, but in the interest of ensuring the health and safety of the soccer community, as well as that of the community at-large, we also recommend that members review your own programming schedule and assess the risks and benefits of postponement and/or cancellation of your upcoming events.

Our internal COVID-19 working group which meets daily to address the ongoing events and operations (domestic and international) as it relates to COVID-19. We are working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other key stakeholders to provide us with current and accurate information to help guide our decision-making process.  As we continue to meet and asses the current situation, we will provide updates as needed.  We also thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through subsequent decisions.

In closing, we strongly recommend that you follow the advice and direction of your local health department and follow their guidance. For more information on the current status across the country and measures you can take, go to:
