United Soccer Club Announces New Director of Coaching
Loveland, Colorado – United Soccer Club is pleased to welcome Trevor Warren as the club’s director of coaching and player development. Warren will work with team coaches, managers, volunteers and staff trainers to guide the overall development of United Soccer Club players and provide leadership in the organization. Warren’s extensive education and experience make him especially well-suited to the responsibilities of this position as well as promoting the growth and improvement of the game in Northern Colorado.
“We are excited for the club, our players and our coaches to have such an experienced Director of Coaching,” said Chris Bryson, president of the United Soccer Club board. “Our players will benefit from the same world-class training that has enabled Trevor to help develop NCAA Players of the Year, US National Team players on both the Men’s and Women’s side, and many Olympic Development Program players.”
With an impressive record over 30 years at the youth and college level, including work at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and University of Portland, and most recently at CSU, Warren has led several of his teams to youth state and national championships and NCAA tournament appearances, including a National Championship with the University of Portland. Warren has coached for 20 years in U.S. Soccer’s Olympic Development Program and holds a United States Soccer Federation A License, NSCAA’s Advanced National Coaching Diploma, and an English Football Association Coaching License. At United SC, Warren will lead the club’s training curriculum and provide direction for the coaching, evaluation and training for United coaches and players based on the most current practices from US Soccer and US Youth Soccer.
“United Soccer offers me the wonderful opportunity to do what I love – help players achieve all they can out of the great game that has provided me so much,” said Warren. “I look forward to meeting all the players and helping them develop their skills, leadership and love of the game.”
United Soccer Club is excited to fill this critical position. The United Soccer Club Board of Directors feels hiring Warren is an important step in furthering the organization’s mission to offer the highest level of development for youth players locally and regionally. Warren’s duties include building and maintaining relationships with local high schools and other local soccer programs. He brings knowledge of and relationships within the college game that allow him to advise United players on opportunities at the next level. He is responsible for recruiting and selecting new coaches, as well as directing their training. Warren will develop and implement a club-wide curriculum for coaches and players, and will organize camps, training sessions, and other programs to develop both players and coaches.
