The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

TOSH Training Program Wk 1

The UYSA staff is undergoing Spring Training! Working with our tremendous healthcare sponsor TOSH, the UYSA staff will be participating in a training program for the next 6 weeks. The training program is designed by Athletic Republic and run by TOSH.

Wanting the best for our athletes, the UYSA staff has agreed to participate in this program to illustrate 3 key points: What the program is, Does it really work, and Why you should do it. We will be posting a weekly “blog” describing our experiences with the program. We began this past Tuesday with a walkthrough day, planned to give us a taste of what the workouts would entail. Following that up was a treadmill day on Thursday.

The workouts are no joke with many of our participants saying the warmup was the hardest they had worked out in years. Carly Brown, member service manager, had this to say about her first week, “This program is worth the hype!  I leave dripping sweat after each session, but I am feeling so much stronger. The TOSH staff member, McKenzie, really knows what she is talking about and is able to coach me through each drill to get me faster and stronger, but also gives me tips on injury prevention too. I can't wait for the next session. “

Echoing her thoughts is current UYSA intern Creighton Atkin, a former collegiate soccer player, “This first week has been a great experience. I have already learned many new things, while improving my personal fitness. The employees at TOSH have been extremely helpful in motivating, and pushing us to succeed.”

This is one of the key components of this program, the TOSH employees are extremely knowledgeable and skilled at helping athletes push through for more, and get those gains they are seeking.

The Athletic Republic program is a state of the art program consisting of 6 patents and 4000 pages of propriety workouts. Athletic Republic training programs create faster, stronger, more explosive athletes who are able to play at game speed for longer and with fewer injuries.  Their performance improvements are documented and proven.

The reason why UYSA has been intrigued by this program is for our athletes, we want our athletes to be able to perform to the best of their abilities and to have fun. The sport specific training programs run by Athletic Republic are individualized and designed specifically for athletes preparing for the upcoming season, gaining an advantage in the off-season and keeping their skills sharp during the season.
