The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Three WVSA Players Travel Abroad With Region I

Three West Virginia Soccer Association players have been selected to travel internationally with the U.S. Youth Soccer Region I Olympic Development Program (ODP).

 

Erika Yohn is currently traveling to Umag, Croatia with the Under-16/Under-17 Girls Region I ODP team to compete in the ISTRIA Women's Cup this weekend. Yohn is a senior at University High School in Morgantown and plays for the Mountaineer United Soccer Club Under-18 Shox club team. She signed a letter of intent to attend Perdue University last month.

 

Tyler Shaffer has been selected to the 1997 Boys Region I ODP team and will travel to Johannesburg, South Africa March 21-31 to compete in the Future Champions Gauteng Cup. Shaffer is a sophomore at Capital High School in Charleston and plays for the Under-16 West Virginia Soccer Club Rowdies Premiere club team.

 

Lucas Gocke will travel to Milan, Italy in April with the 1998 Boys Region I ODP team to compete in the Trofeo Stefano Gusella Tournament. Gocke is a sophomore at Charleston Catholic High School in Charleston and plays for the Under-16 West Virginia Soccer Club Rowdies Premiere club team. He was named Co-Defender of the Year in 2013 by the West Virginia High School Soccer Coaches Association.
