Three North Texas Soccer players will represent U-14 USWNT at 2016 ODP Interregional

FRISCO, Texas (Nov. 8, 2016)
– North Texas Soccer players Sarmar Guidry, Alexis Missimo and Trinity Byars have been named to the Under-14 U.S. Soccer Women’s National Team that will compete at the 2016 US Youth Soccer ODP Thanksgiving Interregionals, taking place Nov. 18-25 in Boca Raton, Fla.

The U-14 USWNT will compete in the 2000 girls age group against teams from all four US Youth Soccer regions. There is a laundry list of current and former U.S. Women’s National Team players who have competed in ODP Interregionals, including Alex Morgan, Tobin Heath, Julie Johnston, Meghan Klingenberg, Ali Krieger, Christen Press, Becky Sauerbrunn and Megan Rapinoe.

Missimo and Byars won the 2016 US Youth Soccer Region III and National Championships with Solar Chelsea Red (TX-N). Missimo was named to the National Championships Best XI team, while Byars tied Solar teammate, and U-14 USWNT pool player, Raigen Powell for the most goals in the age group at the National Championships. Byars, Missimo and Powell combined for one of the best goals of the year in the National Championship finals against So Cal Blues 02 Baker (CA-S).

Guidry is a former teammate of Byars and Missimo, and won the 2014 US Youth Soccer North Texas State Cup with Solar before reaching the finals in 2015. Guidry currently plays in the FC Dallas youth system.
