The Finals Weekend of the 2017 Indiana State Cup, Presidents Cup, and Challenge Cup by Tom Roush Mazda & Lincoln Concluded Successfully This Past Weekend
Indiana Soccer Association concluded the State Cup, Presidents Cup, and Challenge Cup by Tom Roush Mazda & Lincoln on Sunday, June 4. All the Cups took place at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana in which thousands or players, coaches, referees and family members congregated. Over 180 teams from many of the 140 affiliated clubs were represented during the weekend.
“It was such an honor to host thousands of members from our soccer community at Grand Park this past weekend to compete for the 44 championship titles,” Angel Hall, Director of the Indiana Cups, stated. ”So much work is invested into this event and it was exciting to see it all come together. Our staff was pleased with the amount of effort put in by not only the players, but also, everyone who made this weekend possible. Thanks to our sponsors and volunteers that helped make it such a success!” Angel, concluded.
The winners of the Challenge Cup by Tom Roush Mazda & Lincoln do not advance to regionals as it is a local event offered by Indiana Soccer for teams with the desire to feel what it is to participate in a more competitive environment. State Cup and Presidents Cup Finals also wrapped up this weekend as well. The champions of those age groups will be moving on to the Regional level as well. The State Cup winners will advance to the
US Youth Soccer National Championship Series Region II event in Sioux Falls, South Dakota – June 23-28. The winners of the Presidents Cup will advance to the
US Youth Soccer Regional Presidents Cup Region II event in Overland Park, Kansas – June 15-19.

Indiana Soccer was happy with the great weekend that offered an amazing weather for a yet another great Indiana Cups finals weekend. It was a long weekend of competitive games being played with some of the best clubs represented from across the state of Indiana. Every year Indiana Soccer looks forward to the weekend with the lively atmosphere and the increasing skill level the sport of soccer is bringing to all players. Final list of teams moving to regionals in both cups will be announced later this month.
