The 2017 Region III Presidents Cup took place June 14-18 at Mohawk Sports Complex in Tulsa Okla. The tournament will feature teams in the Under-13 through Under-17/18 Boys and Girls age groups with the winners advancing to the 2017 National Presidents Cup, July 12-16 in Auburndale, Fla.
North Texas teams joined other Region III State Associations: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Texas and Tennessee.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a state, regional and national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
Under-14 Girls
Solar Chelsea Wells (TX-N) claimed a Region III Presidents Cup title with a 1-0 victory over ACS Orange (NC). Kathryn Gable scored the first and only goal of the contest, and the Solar defense would record its fifth consecutive shutout to secure a spot in the National Presidents Cup.

Under-15 Girls
After advancing to the finals via kicks from the mark, NTX Celtic 02 McCallum (TX-N) fell to Arkansas Rush Black (AR) 2-0 in the finals with both goals coming in the second half.

Under-16 Boys
Dallas Texans 01 Red (TX-N) got off to a quick 1-0 lead against PDN Rush Sharks 2001 (TX-S). The goal marked the first time Rush had been scored on after scoring 14 goals and conceding none in the previous four games. The Texans would hold to the 1-0 all the way to the final whistle to win the regional title and advance to the National Presidents Cup.

Under-17/18 Boys
Regulation would not be enough time to break a scoreless stalemate between Superior Aztecas (TX-N) and 00 CASL White North (NC). The North Carolina side would find a goal in the first period of extra time and hold off a surging Aztecas side for the 1-0 win.
