
Follow the North Texas teams at the Southern Presidents Cup

GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 15, 2018) – Seven of 11 North Texas Soccer teams secured spots in the semifinals of the 2018 US Youth Soccer Southern Presidents Cup. North Texas teams combined to win eight games while drawing two more and losing one. All 11 North Texas teams earned at least one win and finished with a positive goal differential.
The 2018 Southern Presidents Cup takes place June 13-17 at MeSa Soccer Complex in Greenville, S.C. The tournament will feature teams in the 13-Under through 18-Under Boys and Girls age groups with the winners advancing to the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, which will be held July 11-15 in Westfield, Ind.
Last year, eight of the ten North Texas teams that competed at the South Presidents Cup advanced to the semifinals with 14-Under Girls Solar and 16-Under Boys Dallas Texans ultimately claiming regional titles.
North Texas teams will join other South Region State Associations: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Texas and Tennessee.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a state, regional and national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

13-Under Girls
Sting Dallas 05 Roach is headed to the semifinals by virtue of winning Group B with a 1-0-2 record. Sting sealed the deal in a scoreless draw versus OCYS 2005 Purple (FL) and will play OK Energy Central Green (OK) in the semifinals.

14-Under Boys
Solar SC 04 Haylock fell to CFA Dalton 04 Elite (GA) 3-1 in a battle of 2-0 teams. Solar finishes the tournament with a 2-1 record while scoring 18 goals and conceding five.

14-Under Girls
FC Dallas WTX (TX-N) secured the wildcard slot in the semifinals courtesy of a 4-0 win against Germantown TN Legends (TN) on the final day of play. FC Dallas will play Group A winners 04 CVYSA Blast Blue (NC) in the semifinals.

15-Under Boys
Real GP 03 Rodriguez earned its first win of the tournament in a 4-1 victory over AR United 03 Navy (AR). Real GP ended with a 1-1-1 record while scoring six goals and conceding four.

15-Under Girls
Sparta FC remained undefeated and is headed to the semifinals after a 4-1 win against 03 BSC Cardinal (NC). Next up for Sparta is a semifinals match against Group C winners Alamo City SC 03 Gold (TX-S).

16-Under Boys
Dallas Texans 02 Fort Worth Red claimed the wildcard spot in the semifinals after a 4-0 win over OK Energy FC East Green (OK). Texans will play Group A winners Music City FC Premier (TN) in the semifinals.

16-Under Girls
Mutiny FC 02 White erupted for four goals in the second half to win 4-1 against GPS Lexington SA 02 Gold (SC). Mutiny will play Group B winners Alliance SC 02 Elite (GA) in the semifinals tomorrow.

17-Under Boys
OU United advances to the semifinals as the wildcard after a 3-1 win against Louisiana Fire Juniors Westbank (LA). OU United will play Brownsville Galaxy (TX-S) in the semifinals tomorrow.

17-Under Girls
Q Factor 01 completed a dominant group play performance with a second consecutive 7-0 win over Elite Soccer Academy (FL). Q Factor will play CRFC Sky 01 (SC) in the semifinals.

18-Under Boys
AAOS 00 earned its first win of the tournament in dramatic fashion with two goals late in the second half to defeat Clarkston FC Red (GA) 4-. AAOS keeper Trevor Wipperman saved two penalty-kicks in the match as AAOS finished with a 1-1-1 record while scoring eight goals and conceding seven.

18-Under Girls
Liverpool 00 Rush finished undefeated in group play, but narrowly missed out on a spot in the finals after a scoreless draw against Real Arkansas 00 Gold (AR). Liverpool finished group play with a 2-0-1 record while scoring four goals and earning three shutouts.
