FRISCO, Texas (May 5, 2019) – Semifinals spots have begun to fill up on day three of the 2019 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer State Cup, the premier club soccer competition in North Texas, as 170 teams continue their quest for a state championship and the opportunity to advance to the 2019 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships.
Teams in the 11-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups play at Richland College and the University of Texas at Dallas. Champions will be crowned May 12, with the winners in the 13-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups representing North Texas at the 2019 Southern Regional Championships in Baton Rouge La., from June 21-27, 2019.
North Texas Soccer State Cup champions will join the other State Cup champions, US Youth Soccer National League Frontier Conference, Mid South Conference, Sunshine Conference and Piedmont Conference winners and select wildcards at the Southern Regional Championships. Regional winners will then represent the South Region at the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships held at in Overland Park, Kan. on July 23-28.
The North Texas Soccer State Cup is the first step in the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series. Boys and girls teams in multiple age groups earn their way by competing against the top teams in their state and region. US Youth Soccer State Champions and selected wildcard teams are eligible to compete in one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The champions in the 13U through 19U age groups from each regional event will compete against National League winners at the National Championships.
11-Under Girls
Dallas Texans 08 Dallas leads the group after four-goal wins against Chelsea SC 08 Passos and Sting 08 Bohannon. FC Dallas 08 JDL Red earned a 4-0 win against Dallas Texans 08 Red Dallas, while Sting Bohannon won 4-2 against Dallas Texans Red earlier in the day.
11-Under Boys
Solar East 08 Ackerson ascended to the top of Group A after a 4-2 win over Solar 08 McKinney. In Group B, FC Dallas 08 Boys and Dallas Kicks Black battled to a scoreless draw, while Solar 08 Juliao won 3-0 against FC Dallas 08 West Blue.
12-Under Girls
2018 semifinalists Dallas Texans 07 Dallas and Dallas Texans 07 West battled to a scoreless draw, while DFeeters Kicks 07 Vielma took sole possession of Group A with a 5-0 win against FC Dallas ETX 07 Venom. In Group B, defending champions FC Dallas 07 JDL Red won 2-0 over Solar 07 Rundell, and Sting West 07 Heinz earned a hard fought 1-0 win against FC Dallas 07 Central.
12-Under Boys
2018 semifinalist Solar 07 McKinney and Dallas Rush 07 Voutier played in a back-and-forth affair that ultimately resulted in a 3-3 draw. Dallas Rebels 07 Loya took control of Group B with a 5-1 win over FC Legends 07, while Elite United FC scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over defending champions FC Dallas 07 Premier.
13-Under Girls
2018 finalists Texas Spirit 06 Monk moved to second place in Group A after a 4-1 win against DFeeters Kicks Colon/Perette. A 1-0 win against FC Dallas 06 West resulted in Solar 07 Colvin FDL securing a spot in the semifinals, and borth Dfeeters 06 Black and Solar East 06 Reese are headed to the semifinals after each team won earlier in the day before drawing each other 0-0 in the second match of the day.
13-Under Boys
Two-time defending champions FC Dallas 06 Premier is headed to the semifinals courtesy of shutout wins against Solar 06 Juliao and High Plains Drifters 2006. FC Dallas 06 Central will join their counterparts after two-goal wins against Solar 06 Barboza and Solar 06 Hildebrand. Group C will send two sides to the semifinals as Dallas Texans 06 West and FC Warryors 06 drew each other 1-1 in the first game of the day before earning shutout wins in their respective second games of the day.
14-Under Girls
2018 Southern Regional champions DFeeters 05 Black secured first place in Group A and a semifinals spots with wins against Solar FDL and FC Dallas 05 West White. Solar FDL will also qualify for the semifinals with a 1-1 record. 2018 semifinalists Fever United 05 Penn completed a 3-0 run through group play with a 2-0 win against FC Dallas 05 Premier, but both sides will advance to the semifinals after Solar 05 Haylock and Dallas Texans 05 FDL drew 1-1.
14-Under Boys
2018 State Cup and 2019 Dallas Cup champions Dallas Kicks 05 Selecao had their quest to repeat as state champions dashed after a 2-1 loss to FC Dallas 05 Navy. 2018 finalists Liverpool 05 Dalgish is headed back to the semifinals after a 3-0 win against FC Dallas 05 Premier. FC Dallas 05 North Blue will round out the group winners after a 2-1 win against Solar 05 Martinez.
15-Under Girls
Defending State and Southern Region champ FC Dallas 04 Blue remained at the top of Group A thanks to a 3-0 win against Solar 04 Rodriguez, and Liverpool 04 Barnes earned its first win of the tournament 2-0 against FC Dallas 04 Girls. 2018 semifinalists DFeeters 04 Voutier drew 2018 finalists Solar 04 Rundell 1-1, while Dallas Texans FDL won 3-1 over FC Dallas 04 Premier, and Dallas Texans 04 Central tied Liverpool 04 St John 2-2.
15-Under Boys
High Plains Drifters 2004 sits at the top of Group A after a 5-0 win over Dallas Texans, while 2018 finalists Chelsea East SC 04 finishes just one point behind in second place after a 4-1 win against FC Premier 04 Forzi. Rayos 04 secured the top spot in Group B after a 5-0 win against Falls Town FC 04. Solar East 04 Hedges and Dallas Kicks 05 Selecao drew 1-1 in the other Group B match. FC Dallas 04 Premier and FC Dallas 04 West improved to 2-1 records in Group C after wins against defending champions Dallas Texans 04 Fort Worth and FC Dallas 04 North Blue respectively. FC Dallas 04 Boys rebounded from a 3-2 loss yesterday to win 3-1 over FC Premier 04 Green.
16-Under Girls
2018 semifinalists Dallas Texans 01 Dallas is headed to the semifinals after a 6-0 win over FC Dallas Texoma 03. 2018 semifinalists DFeeters 03 Black earned a 2-1 win over Solar FDL 03 Grado as Dallas Texans, DFeeters an Solar Grado finished with 2-1 records. Sparta 03 used a 4-0 win against DFeeters 03 Hason to finish at the top of Group B and secure a spot in the semifinals, while DFeeters Kicks 03 Esquivel won 2-1 against SRFC 03. In Group C, both 2018 finalists Liverpool 03 Owen and Dallas Texans FDL are headed to the semifinals after drawing 2-2 in Group C, while FC Dallas WTX 03 Midland took care of business with a 6-0 win against Solar 03 Llamas.
16-Under Boys
2018 finalists FC Dallas 03 Premier didn’t play today, but is headed to the semifinals after FC Dallas 03 Central drew Falls Town FC 03 1-1. Solar 03 De Leon found itself in a similar situation as FC Dallas Premier, as the 2018 Frontier Conference runner-up is headed to the semifinals after Solar 02 Sawyer defeated Azzuri FC 03 2-0. Colleyville SA Evolution 03 took down Dallas Kicks 03 Venom 4-2, but it is two-time defending champions FC Premier 03 Opoku that is headed to the semifinals out of Group C with a 2-0 record. FC Dallas 03 West held on to first place in Group D despite a 3-2 loss to FC Dallas 03 Central, while Arsenal 03 Mendez defeated Evolution FC 03 3-1 in the other Group D match.
17-Under Girls
2018 Southern Region champions Sparta FC 02 is on to the semifinals after a 6-0 win against Revolution SC 02 Black. Defending champions FC Dallas 02 Premier will join Sparta in the semifinals after a 2-0 win over DFeeters Kicks 02 Esquivel. Group C belongs to 2018 semifinalists Solar 02 Richardson after a 2-1 win against Solar 02 Naizer.
17-Under Boys
Frontier Conference champions Solar 02 Castro is now alone at the top of Group A after an 8-2 win and 2018 Presidents Cup champions Dallas Texans 02 Red Fort Worth earning a 7-0 win against Liverpool 02 Hunt. 2018 finalists AYSES 02 battled to a second straight 2-2 draw, this time against Solar South 02 Adames. Solar 02 Sawyer won 4-3 over Real GP 02 Rodriguez, while 2018 semifinalists FC Dallas 02 Premier defeated FCD ETX 02 Premier 3-1.
18-Under Girls
In Group A, Solar 01 Wells and Fever United 01 Penn drew 1-1 in a match between 2018 semifinalists. FC Dallas 01 West and Dallas Texans 01 Dallas remain at the top of Group B after the two sides drew 2-2 after earning wins yesterday, while Solar East 01 Hedges won 3-1 against FC Dallas 01 White.
18-Under Boys
Aztecas Futbol 01 remains at the top of Group A after a 4-1 win against American Academy of Soccer 01. 2018 finalists FC Dallas 01 Premier leads Group B after a 2-1 win over FC Dallas 01 Central and FC Dallas 01 Red defeating Fever United 01 Vaughn 6-1. In Group C, 2018 semifinalists Solar 01 Stricker edged out a 2-1 win over Dallas Texans 01 Red Dallas, while Mexico 01 won 3-0 against FC Dallas 01 West.
19-Under Girls
Solar FDL Bates remains at the top of the group after a 6-1 win against Solar 00 Volkan. Frontier Conference champions Solar West B. Williams currently sits in second place after a 2-2 draw against Dallas Texans 00 West.
19-Under Boys
Barcelona 00 earned its first win of the tournament with a 3-1 victory over Solar 01 Sawyer in Group A. In Group B, Frontier Conference champions FC Dallas 00 Boys defeated Anoranzas FC 00 4-0, while FC Dallas 00 Central and AYSES 00 Gold tied 2-2.
