Semifinals begin at 2019 North Texas Soccer State Cup

FRISCO, Texas (May 16, 2019) – The first day of semifinals is now complete at the 2019 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer State Cup, the premier club soccer competition in North Texas, as North Texas Soccer teams continue their quest for a state championship and the opportunity to advance to the 2019 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships.

Teams in the 11-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups play at Richland College and the University of Texas at Dallas. Champions will be crowned May 19, with the winners in the 13-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups representing North Texas at the 2019 Southern Regional Championships in Baton Rouge La., from June 21-27, 2019.

North Texas Soccer State Cup champions will join the other State Cup champions, US Youth Soccer National League Frontier Conference, Mid South Conference, Sunshine Conference and Piedmont Conference winners and select wildcards at the Southern Regional Championships. Regional winners will then represent the South Region at the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships held at in Overland Park, Kan. on July 23-28.

The North Texas Soccer State Cup is the first step in the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series. Boys and girls teams in multiple age groups earn their way by competing against the top teams in their state and region. US Youth Soccer State Champions and selected wildcard teams are eligible to compete in one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The champions in the 13U through 19U age groups from each regional event will compete against National League winners at the National Championships.

11-Under Girls

Goals were hard to come by as Chelsea FC 08 Passos and Dallas Texans 08 Red Dallas battled to a scoreless draw in the only 11-Under Girls match of the night.

12-Under Boys

Solar 07 McKinney took control of Group A with a 7-1 win against Lions FC, while Dallas Rebels remains at the top of Group B after edging out Leon FC 07 Red. FC Dallas 07 Premier earned its first win of the tournament in a 3-2 victory over Stars and Stripes 07 Gold.

13-Under Boys

2018 semifinalists FC Dallas 06 Central Red is headed to the finals after a 4-2 win against Dallas Texans 06 West. FC Dallas will await the winner of two-time defending champions FC Dallas 06 Premier and FC Warryors 06 Nava, which will occur Friday.

13-Under Girls

DFeeters 07 JM/Bones and Solar 07 Colvin are headed to the finals after shutout wins in the semifinals. DFeeters took down Solar East 06 Reese 4-0, while Solar 07 won 2-0 against DFeeters 06 Black Hollis.

14-Under Boys

FC Dallas 05 Premier secured a spot in the finals after a 4-1 win over fellow club side FC Dallas 05 Navy. FC Dallas will play either 2018 finalists Liverpool 05 Dalgish or FC Dallas 05 North Blue in the finals after those two sides play on Friday.

14-Under Girls

National League Frontier Conference winners DFeeters 05 Black is already headed back to the Southern Regional Championships after winning regionals last year, and the National League winners are headed to the State Cup finals after a 2-0 win over FC Dallas 05 Premier. Fever United 05 Penn earned the other spot in the finals and a spot in the Regional Championships with a narrow 1-0 win against Solar FDL.

16-Under Boys

FC Dallas 03 Premier secured a spot in the finals courtesy of a 2-1 win against FC Dallas 03 West, while Solar 03 De Leon earned the other spot in the finals after dethroning two-time defending champions FC Premier 03. Both teams have a spot in the Southern Regional Championships by virtue of FC Dallas winning the NL Frontier Conference.

17-Under Boys

National League leaders Solar 02 Castro earned a spot in the finals with a 2-0 win against 2018 Presidents Cup champions Dallas Texans 02 Red Fort Worth. 2018 finalists AYSES 02 Gold will make a return trip to the finals with a 3-1 win over FC Dallas 02 Premier in a rematch of the 2018 semifinals. AYSES earns a spot in the Southern Regional Championships by virtue of Solar winning the NL Frontier Conference.

17-Under Girls

2018 Southern Regional champs Sparta FC 02 Elite won 3-0 to advance to the finals, where they will take on defending champions FC Dallas 02 Premier in a 2018 finals rematch after FC Dallas won 2-0 against Solar West 02 Richardson.

18-Under Boys

Aztecas 01 scored the only goal in the semifinals match against FC Dallas 01 Central to win 1-0. Aztecas will play National League winners Solar 01 Stricker, which won 2-1 over 2018 finalists and NL Frontier Conference winners FC Dallas 01 Premier.
