TULSA, Okla. (June 16, 2017) — The semifinal matches are set at the 2017 US Youth Soccer Region III Presidents Cup in Tulsa, Okla. The advancing 13U through 17/18U Boys and Girls teams are now one step closer to a regional title and a berth to the 2017 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 12-16 in Auburndale, Fla.

Semifinal games begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday at Mohawk Soccer Complex.

Oklahoma Youth Soccer Association is hosting the event, and the other 11 State Associations being represented are: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Texas, South Carolina, South Texas and Tennessee.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup offers teams the challenge of experiencing different types of play by competing from state to regional to national levels. The Presidents Cup provides teams with a progressive, competitive experience that highlights competition, camaraderie and community.

Age Group Recaps

13U Boys
The SLSC Cosmos (OK) defeated MST United Stars (FL) 3-1 to move on to the semifinals of the 2017 Region III Presidents Cup. The SLSC Cosmos will face the McAllen Rayados (TX-S) at 10:00 AM, June 17, to determine who will move on to the final match on Sunday, against the winner of Alianza Gold 04 (GA) vs. Chelsea East SC (TX-N) in the other semifinal.

13U Girls
In an close matchup between CASL05 Jrs (NC) and WSA 04 Black (OK), CASL05 Jrs earned a 3-2 victory. With the win, CASL05 Jrs will play 04 Bulls Elite (SC) to see who will earn a spot in the final on Sunday, June 17. The Cyclones (FL) have yet to give up a goal thus far and will now face Arkansas Comets 04 Navy (AR), in the other semifinal, for a chance at advancing to complete for the Region III Presidents Cup title.

14U Boys
The MST United Stars (FL) have found the back of the net eleven times in just three games, without giving up a goal. The MST United Stars defense will be tested in its semifinal matchup against FC Premier 03 Green (TX-N). FC Premier has had a great start to the tournament while scoring seven goals and allowing just three against. KSA 14 2003 (TX-S) will play AR United 03 Green Spears (AR) who have also netted seven goals in only three games.

14U Girls
A couple of very impressive runs through preliminary play have gotten the SLSC Cosmos 03 Gulikers (OK) and 03 ACS Orange G (NC) a trip to the semifinal match on June 17. Joining those teams will be Warner ASG (FL) and Solar Chelsea Wells (TX-N). Solar Chelsea Wells has yet to concede a goal,while finding the back of the net ten times.

15U Boys
CFA U15 Pachuca United (SC) has only been scored on one time in preliminary play, but they will be tested in a semifinal match by the offensively aggressive Unity SC 02 Bik Boys (OK) who scored seven goals in their first game at the 2017 Region III Presidents Cup. RGV FC Dallas 02 (TX-S) will play the Dallas Kicks (TX-N) in the other semifinal matchup, a battle pitting tow Texas teams against each other.

15U Girls
Arkansas Rush 02/03 Girls Black (AR) have scored four goals in each game at the Region III Presidents Cup, which has found them a spot in the semifinal match against Strictly Soccer Select (FL). OFC 02 White and NTX Celtic 02G McCallum (TX-N) will also battle for a spot in the finals. NTX Celtic 02G McCallum has been offensively sound throughout the tournament, netting three goals in each game enroute to a 3-0 record in preliminary play.

16U Boys
The PDN Rush Sharks 2001 (TX-S) have yet to give up a goal in the Region III Presidents Cup. They will face SARU 01 Torre Fuerte (SC) who won its last game, 3-0. Sporting Arkansas 01 Fayetteville (AR) and Dallas Texans 01 Red Dallas (TX-N) will be the other matchup in the other 16U semifinal with the winner advancing to the final on Sunday, June 18. 

16U Girls
Sting West 01 Jones (TX-N) has had an inspiring performance tthrough premlimary play with no goals allowed. Sting West 01 Jones will match up against FC Dallas 01 Premier (TN) in the semifinal matchup. The other teams playing for a spot in the Region III Presidents Cup final are the 01 Bulls Girls Elite (SC) and Tsc01williams (OK). 

 

17/18U Boys
00 CASL White North (NC) and SAF 2000 Elite (GA) will battle in a semifinal matchup to determine who will move on to the final game on Saturday, June 17. Two offensively aggressive teams, the Superior Aztecas 00 (TX-N) and Lakeway Lightning (TN) will also face off in a semifinal matchup. 

17/18U Girls 
CASL Ladies Black G (NC) have yet to be scored on in this tournament, while also finding the back of the net ten times. CASL Ladies Black G will be challenged in the semifinal matchup by the talented TSC 00 Elite (GA). Finally, OFC00 White (OK) will be playing Calcasieu SC Eagles 00G (LA), who have been defensively strong throughout the tournament, only allowing two goals.
