The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

SafeSport Certification

SafeSport Certification

Education and awareness are the most critical components to creating safe and respectful sporting environments, free of abuse and harassment.  UYSA is committed to ensuring all administrators have the proper training to protect all forms of abuse that can occur in sports.

  • All Coaches and Team Managers must take the (3) SafeSport Modules.  After completion of the modules, a  master certificate is generated and must be uploaded to your Affinity Sports administrator account.

    • Emotional & Physical Misconduct

    • Mandatory Reporting

    • Sexual Misconduct Awareness Education

  • Please Note: All 3 modules must be completed.  You will receive a master certificate at the end of competing the third module.

  • You will be asked to enter an organization and access code when making your SafeSport account.  Please reach out to your club OR to the UYSA office to access that code.

Details and Policy

In conjunction with Public Law 115-126 Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 (SafeSports Act) and US Soccer’s newest policy, Athlete and Participant Safety, UYSA is becoming compliant to ensure the safety of all players through an educational online training course to provide all coaches, team managers, and volunteers the knowledge to protect players.

All coaches and administrators are required to take the certification and upload the completed certificate to their admin account in Affinity. Each year thereafter all admins will update their admin account with a refresher course certificate. If a current certificate is not uploaded to an administrator's account that administrator's picture will not appear on UYSA rosters.
