The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Registration Now Open For the Long Island Futsal League

October 22, 2019-The Long Island Futsal League (LIFL) kicked off play in December 1996 at the World Gym in East Setauket. Over two decades later and under the umbrella of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA), it’s one of the largest futsal leagues in the United States.

Last winter, over 200 youth teams--both boys and girls--played futsal at gymnasiums in central Suffolk County as it’s a great answer to the New York winter when our fields are too frozen to play on.

What’s new for the upcoming winter is more availability and venues than ever before. Gyms to be used are in the Connetquot School District (Connetquot High School and Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School), Middle Country School District (Centereach High School and Newfield High School), Three Village School District (Murphy Junior High School) and Our Savior New American School in Centereach.

Clinics for developing Under-8 and Under-9 teams, an easier registration process and electronic check submission should make this winter season go smoothly.

Also new is the renovated league website that can be found at https://lifutsal.com/home-li-futsal

Registration closes on December 8, 2019 with the season kicking off on the weekend of January 4 and 5, 2020. Come in from the cold and play futsal this winter. For more info regarding Long Island Futsal, please contact LIFL President John Branca at 631-790-7481 or lifutsal@gmail.com

With approximately 100,000 youth soccer players––both boys and girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with nine leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators. All levels of soccer are offered––from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Children With Special Needs. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away. ENYYSA is a proud member of the United States Soccer Federation and United States Youth Soccer Association. For more information, please log onto http://www.enysoccer.com/, which receives nearly 300,000 hits annually from the growing soccer community.
