Oklahoma soccer teams advance to 2017 US Youth Soccer Region III Championships
Edmond, Oklahoma (May 30, 2017) — Oklahoma Soccer Association is pleased to announce the 2017 winners of the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup state soccer tournament. The tournament finals were held May 28 and May 29th at the Edmond Soccer and NOKC soccer complexes. Winners of the tournament advance to the Region III Presidents Cup Tournament, being held this year at Mohawk Park, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
According to US Youth Soccer, the “US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to US Youth Soccer teams from the state to regional to national level. The Presidents Cup gives players an additional opportunity to compete against teams from across the country at a high level for the joy and the challenge of the game. It provides the chance to experience a unique US Youth Soccer event with camaraderie, community and competition through sport.”
The US Youth Soccer Region III Presidents Cup takes place June 13-18 at Mohawk Sports Complex in Tulsa, Okla. The event will feature Boys and Girls teams in the 13-U through 17/18-U age groups who will compete for a regional championship and a spot at the 2017 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 12-16 in Auburndale, Fla.
