FRISCO, Texas (May 3, 2019) – Play began at the 2019 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer State Cup, the premier club soccer competition in North Texas, as 170 teams began their quest for a state championship and the opportunity to advance to the 2019 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships.
Teams in the 11-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups will play at Richland College and the University of Texas at Dallas. Champions will be crowned May 12, with the winners in the 13-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups representing North Texas at the 2019 Southern Regional Championships in Baton Rouge La., from June 21-27, 2019.

North Texas Soccer State Cup champions will join the other State Cup champions, US Youth Soccer National League Frontier Conference, Mid South Conference, Sunshine Conference and Piedmont Conference winners and select wildcards at the Southern Regional Championships. Regional winners will then represent the South Region at the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships held at in Overland Park, Kan. on July 23-28.
The North Texas Soccer State Cup is the first step in the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series. Boys and girls teams in multiple age groups earn their way by competing against the top teams in their state and region. US Youth Soccer State Champions and selected wildcard teams are eligible to compete in one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The champions in the 13U through 19U age groups from each regional event will compete against National League winners at the National Championships.

13-Under Girls
2019 State Cup finalists DFeeters 07 JM/Bones moved to the top of Group A after a 6-0 win over DFeeters Kicks 06 Colon/Perette. DFeeters 07 will look to secure a spot in the semifinals when they take on Texas Spirit 06 Monk on Saturday.
15-Under Boys
2018 State Cup finalists Chelsea East SC 04 battled High Plains Drifter 2004 to a scoreless draw as both sides now sit at the top of Group A. Rayos FC 04 took down 2018 State Cup semifinalists Dallas Kicks 04 Selecao 5-0 and is joined at the top of Group B with Solar East 04 Hedges, which defeated Fallas Town FC 04 1-0 on the first day of play. Defending champs Dallas Texans 04 Fort Worth defeated FC Premier 04 Green 3-1, while FC Dallas 04 Boys earned a 2-0 win against FC Dallas 04 West and FC Dallas 04 North Blue edged out FC Dallas 04 Premier 2-1.

16-Under Girls
Frontier Conference Champions DFeeters 03 Black used a 5-0 win to move to the top of Group A. Solar FDL 03 Grado also earned a win in Group A after narrowly defeating 2018 semifinalists Dallas Texans 03 Dallas in a 3-2 thriller. DFeeters Kicks 03 Esquivel defeated fellow club side DFeeters 03 Hason 2-1, while Sparta FC 03 also earned a one-goal win in Group B in a 3-2 win over SRFC 03. Dallas Texans FDL and 2018 finalists Liverpool 03 Owen each earned shutout wins to move to the top of Group C.
16-Under Boys
FC Dallas 03 Premier is already headed to the 2019 Southern Regional Championships after winning the National League Frontier Conference, and the 2018 State Cup finalists began the tournament with a 5-1 win over FC Dallas 03 Central White. Frontier Conference runner-up Solar De Leon moved to the top of Group B after a 3-1 win against Azzuri FC 03. In Group C, two-time defending champions FC Premier 03 earned a 2-0 win over Dallas Kicks North 03 Venom. Evolution FC 03 and FC Dallas 03 West moved to the top of Group D after wins against FC Dallas 03 Central and Arsenal SC 03 Mendez respectively.

17-Under Boys
FC Dallas ETX 02 Premier and Solar South 02 Adames battled to a 2-2 draw in the only 17-Under Boys match of the night.
19-Under Girls
A pair of Solar teams sit at the top of the group with wins on the first day of play. Frontier Conference champions Solar West 00 B. Williams defeated Solar 00 Volkan 6-1, while Solar FDL Bates defeated Dallas Texans 00 West 2-1.

Defending State Cup champions FC Dallas 00 Premier got its title defense off on the right foot after a 2-0 win over Barcelona 00.
