FRISCO, Texas (May 4, 2017) – Play began at the 2017 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer State Cup, the premier club soccer competition in North Texas, as 56 of 178 teams began their quest for a state championship and the opportunity to advance to the 2017 US Youth Soccer Region III Championships.
Teams in the Under-11 through Under-19/20 boys and girls age groups will play at Richland College and the University of Texas at Dallas. Champions will be crowned May 14, with the winners in the Under-13 through Under-19/20 boys and girls age groups representing North Texas at the Region III Championships at Bryan Park Soccer Complex in Greensboro, N.C. from June 23-29, 2017.
US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Premier League winners in the Under-13 and Under-14 Boys as Girls age groups along with winners and runner-ups in the Under-15 through Under-19/20 Boys and Girls age groups will join State Cup Champions and select wildcards at the Region III Championships. Regional winners will then represent Region III at the 2017 US Youth Soccer National Championships held at Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco Texas on July 25-29.
The North Texas Soccer State Cup is the first step in the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series. Boys and girls teams in multiple age groups earn their way by competing against the top teams in their state and region. US Youth Soccer State Champions and selected wildcard teams are eligible to compete in one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The champions in the 13U through 19/20U age groups from each regional event will converge in the finals with the National League teams.

Under-15 Boys
Defending North Texas State Cup champions and 2016-17 US Youth Soccer National League Blue Division runner-up Solar Chelsea 02 Striker began its title defense with a convincing 13-0 win over Real GP 02 Rodriguez. Dallas Texans 02 South took control of Group B with a 3-0 win against Real GP 02 Gold. Solar Chelsea 02 Sawyer and defending State Cup finalists Odyssey SC 02 are at the top of Group D after 1-0 and 3-0 wins respectively.
Under-16 Boys
FC Dallas Youth 01 Premier used a 2-0 win over Dallas Tigres Academy to move to the top of Group A, while 2016-17 National League side Solar Chelsea 01 Elite Fagen sits atop Group B after a 4-0 win over FC Premier 01. In Group C, FC Dallas Youth 01 Central edged out Solar Chelsea 01 Wells 2-1, while Solar Chelsea 01 Stricker defeated Liverpool 01 Owen 5-1.

Under-17 Girls
Three-time defending North Texas State Cup champions Dallas Kicks SC 00 used two late goals to secure a 4-1 win over Texas Spirit 00 and move to the top of Group A. Texas Spirit North 00 and Solar Chelsea 00 Bates both earned wins to move to the top of Group B, while Dallas Texans 00 Black FTW and Sting North 00 Angell earned shutout victories in Group C.
Under-17 Boys
2016 North Texas State Cup finalists FC Dallas 00 Premier took control of Group A with a 2-0 win over Liverpool 00 Hansen, while defending champions FC Dallas Youth 00 claimed first place in Group B with a 3-1 win over Dallas Texans 00 FTW. Solar teams would gain control of the next two groups as Solar Chlesea 00 Wells and Solar Chelsea 00 Passos would secure wins to move to the top of Group C and D respectively. Group E shows Anoranzas FC 00 in first place after a 2-1 win over Liverpool 00 Keegan.

Under-18 Girls
Solar Chelsea 99 Grado started off on the right foot with a 4-0 win over Aztecs FC 00, while Sting Central 99 Parker leads Group B after a 4-1 win over FC Dallas 99 East. Sting West 99 gained control of Group C after defeating fellow club side Sting Dallas 99 Ferretti 3-2.
Under-18 Boys
FC Dallas 99 East got off to a strong start in Group A with a 2-0 win over Dallas Roma FC 99. Defending North Texas State Cup champions Dallas Texans 99 Red and FC Dallas Youth 99 Premier moved to the top of Group B after wins on the opening day. In Group C, Dallas Texans 99 Dallas and Solar Chelsea 99 Sawyer sit at the top after 4-1 and 1-0 wins respectively.

Under-19 Boys
Barcelona 98 Blue defeated Solar Cheslea 98 Passos 1-0 in the only match of the age group to take control over Group A.
