
FRISCO, Texas (Dec. 13, 2017) - North Texas Soccer alums Jordie Harr and Taryn Torres were a part of the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team, while Dante Sealy joined the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team as both groups competed at the 2017 Nike International Friendlies in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
Harr started two matches and appeared in all three for the red, white and blue, while Torres started in the U-20 USWNT’s 10-1 win against Finland and appeared in a second game. Torres netted the first goal of the match in her U-20 debut against Finland and would later add an assist on the fourth goal.
Sealy made two appearances for the U-17 USMNT, including a start in the second match against the Netherlands. The forward from Frisco, Texas is a part of the FC Dallas Youth system. Sealy reached the finals of the 2014 North Texas State Cup and played in the 2015 group stage with FC Dallas. Sealy has also played in the CCSAI Classic League from 2013-16.
Harr was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team in sophomore year at Texas Tech after being named to the All-Big 12 Freshman Team last season. The midfielder from Sachse, Texas was a two-time Gatorade Texas Player of the Year and has been a part of the U.S. U-20 National Team pool since 2015. The North Texas Soccer ODP and Sting alum also represented the South region at the 2012 US Youth Soccer ODP Thanksgiving Interregional.
Torres was named to the ACC Third Team and ACC All-Freshman Team after her first year at Virginia, where she appeared in all 23 games for the Cavaliers and tied for the most goal with eight. The midfielder from Frisco, Texas competed with North Texas and Southern Region ODP from 2009-12 and player her club soccer with Dallas Texans and FC Dallas.
