North Texas Soccer alums Trinity Byars, Samar Guidry and Alexis Missimo have been called into a joint U.S. Soccer Women’s National Team Under-15 and Under-16 camp taking place Jan 27-Feb. 3 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. The camp marks the first call-up in either age group in 2018, and the two sides will scrimmage against each other several times during the camp.

Missimo and Guidry will compete on the Under-16 team, while Byars will play on the Under-15 side. Missimo last represented the red, white and blue on the Under-15 team last November when she travelled to Germany to compete in two scrimmages against the German Under-15 Girl’s National Team. Guidry also last competed within the U.S. Youth National Team system in Germany, when she joined the Under-16 team in August of 2017. This marks the first U-15 camp Byars has been called into since June of 2017, when she attended a camp in Portland.

Byars and Missimo were members of the Solar SC team that won the 2016 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Frisco, Texas. Byars, along with teammate and fellow U.S. Youth National Team pool player, Raigen Powell, tied for the most goals in the age group with four, while Missimo was named to the 2016 National Championships Best XI team.  Byars also scored all three of her goals at the 2016 US Youth Southern Regional Championships after the group stage, including one goal in the final. The duo won two US Youth Soccer North Texas State Cup titles with Solar.

Guidry has played her youth soccer with Solar and FC Dallas. Like Byars, Guidry has spent multiple years playing in the Classic League and reached the finals of the 2014 and 2015 North Texas State Cups with Solar SC.
