
FRISCO, Texas (Oct. 21, 2019) – North Texas Soccer teams lead all 12 Frontier Conference age groups after this most recent weekend. 15-Under Boys DKSC Selecao 05, 18-Under Girls Sparta FC 02 Elite and 19-Under Boys FC Dallas 01 Premier have already claimed titles in their respective age groups.
Games between North Texas, South Texas and Oklahoma teams took place October 19 and 20 at Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas. A majority of divisions will wrap up on the final North Texas weekend, which will take place November 9-10 at Rolling Hills Soccer Complex in Fort Worth, Texas.
Last season, North Texas teams claimed 12 of 14 Frontier Conference titles. The Frontier Conference is one of 13 Conferences under the US Youth Soccer National Leagues Program in the Multi-State Tier. North Texas teams in the Frontier Conference compete against each other in conjunction with the Chamber Classic League and Lake Highlands Classic League.
The Frontier Conference consists of teams primarily from Oklahoma, North Texas and South Texas. The top teams in the Conference will earn advancement to the US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championship, part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, as well as a chance to earn a coveted spot in the National Tier of the Leagues Program, the US Youth Soccer National League. Last season, four North Texas Soccer teams claimed titles.
Age Group Recaps
14-Under Boys
Group leaders FC Dallas 06 Premier did not travel to Round Rock, but the defending Frontier Conference and Southern Regional Championships winners are 6-0 with four games remaining. F.C. Warryors currently sit in third place with a 4-0-2 record.
14-Under Girls
Texas Spirit 06 Monk built on its lead in the standings with a 2-1 win over DKSC 06 Nichols, while FC Dallas 06 Central moved into second place with wins over OK Energy FC Central 06 (OK) and OK Energy FC West 06 (OK).
15-Under Boys
Defending Frontier Conference champions DKSC Selecao 05 clinched back-to-back titles in Round Rock with a 1-0 win against ID Houston Dynamo 05 (S-TX) and a 3-1 victory over SBYSC Leones (S-TX). A pair of FC Dallas teams occupy second and third place in the age group. 2019 North Texas State Cup finalists FC Dallas 05 Premier sits in second place after wins over OKC United FC 05 (OK) and OK Energy FC Central 05 (OK), while 2019 State Cup champions FC Dallas 05 Navy drew Rise 05 (S-TX) 2-2 before falling to Barca Academy Austin (TX-S) 3-0 on the second day of play.
15-Under Girls
Defending state, region and national champions DKSC 05 Black Flynn remains at the top of the age group with a 3-0 record, while NTX Celtic FC 05 Marshall currently sits in second place with a 3-1 record. FC Dallas West 05 White moved into third place after a 4-0 win against Rise SC 05 Elite (TX-S) on Saturday before the North Texas side fell 3-1 to Lady Lions 05 Red (TX-S).
16-Under Boys
FC Dallas 04 Premier used wins over ID Club Division 04 (S-TX) and ID Houston Legends 05 (S-TX) to remain at the top of the age group with a 7-0-1 record. FC Dallas 04 West picked up the only other North Texas win this weekend with a 1-0 victory over OK Energy FC Central 04 (OK).
16-Under Girls
North Texas teams in the 16-Under Girls age group did not travel to Round Rock, but group leaders DKSC 04 Prime improved to 6-0-1 in the age group with a 4-1 win over SA City 04 (S-TX) Red before drawing Rise SC 04 Elite (TX-S) 2-2 over the previous weekend. Two-time State Cup champions FC Dallas 04 Blue defeated FC Premier 04 4-0 to remain in second place with a 4-1-1 record.
17-Under Boys
North Texas teams occupy five of the top six spots in the 17-Under Boys age group after an eventful weekend in Round Rock. North Texas teams went 9-0 on the weekend as 2019 Southern Regional Championships quarterfinalists Solar 03 Deleon currently leads the age group with a 6-1-2 record. 2019 National Championships semifinalists FC Dallas 03 Premier is just one point back with a 6-2-1 record. Just two points below Solar sit FC Dallas 03 Central (5-1-3) and FC Premier 03 Opoku (6-3). FC Dallas 03 West sits in sixth place with a 4-3-3 record.
17-Under Girls
Group leaders Sparta FC 03 (4-0) did not travel to Round Rock but picked up wins over Lonestar SC 03 (S-TX) and Alamo City Dragons (S-TX) over the previous weekend. DKSC 03 Black Hillard and Dallas Texans 03 Central are tied for second with 3-2-1 records.
18-Under Boys
North Texas teams occupy the top four spots in the age group after this past weekend. Solar South 02 Adames leads after earning wins against FC Westlake 02 (S-TX) and Capital City FC 02 (S-TX). Defending National Champions Solar 02 Castro sits in second after winning its only match of the weekend 4-0 over Capital City. State Cup finalists AYSES 02 Gold defeated OK Energy FC East 02 (OK) and OKC United 02 Black (OK) to move into third place, while FC Dallas 02 Premier rounds out the top four after a win against OKC United 02 and a 4-3 defeat at the hands of OKC Energy East.
18-Under Girls
Defending Frontier Conference and State Cup champions Sparta FC 02 Elite wrapped up the age group earlier this month with a 5-0 record. FC Dallas 02 Red finished in second place with a 2-1-2 record, while Renegades SC 02 used a pair of wins in Round Rock to move into third place.
19-Under Boys
2019 National Championships semi-finalists FC Dallas 01 Premier secured a second straight Frontier Conference title with a 7-0-1 record. 2019 National Championships finalists Solar 01 Stricker finished right behind FC Dallas with a 7-1 record. Sporting United 01 Videla currently sits in third after a pair of wins in Round Rock.
19-Under Girls
Defending Frontier Conference champions Dallas Texans 01 Red used two victories in Round Rock to move into sole possession of first place with a 4-0 record. FC Dallas 01 West (2-0) will have their turn at the South Texas teams in November. A pair of wins for FC Dallas would result in a winner-take-all match against Dallas Texans, scheduled for Dec. 2.
