FRISCO, Texas (Feb. 6, 2018) – North Texas Soccer teams Solar 05 Haylock and Liverpool 05 Dalgish lead the US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Premier League (SRPL) West 13-Under Girls and Boys age groups respectively after the second weekend. North Texas teams finished with nine wins, five draws and two losses as games between teams from South Texas Soccer and North Texas Soccer were played Feb. 3 and 4 at Harold Patterson Sports Complex in Arlington, Texas.
The SRPL is comprised of competitive teams in the 13-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups in the Southern Region playing in league format. Division winners in the boys age group and top-two finishers in the girls age group receive a bid to the Southern Regional Championships, and winners from select age groups qualify for the prestigious US Youth Soccer National League. The West division is comprised of teams from North Texas, Oklahoma and South Texas.
13U Girls
North Texas teams went a perfect 4-0 on the first day of play before recording three wins and a draw on the second day. Reigning North Texas State Cup champions Liverpool 05 Elite (TX-N) defeated One World Soccer 05 (TX-S) 2-0 on the first day before securing a 3-1 win against Lonestar SC 05 Red (TX-S) on the second day of play. Dallas Texans West 05 defeated Lonestar 05 Red 2-0 on the first day of play before battling One World Soccer 05 to a scoreless draw on the second day of play.
Solar 05 Haylock (TX-N) looked strong in its SRPL debut with a 5-0 win against Rise SC 06 (TX-S) before defeating the older Rise SC side, Rise SC 05 Elite (TX-S) 3-0 on the second day of play. Sting North 05 Shepard (TX-N) also notched wins against the two Rise sides as Sting came back from one down to defeat Rise SC 05 2-1 on Saturday before securing a 3-1 win against Rise SC 06 on Sunday.

13U Boys
Liverpool 05 Dalgish currently sits in first place of the SRPL West after recording a win and a draw on the second SRPL weekend. Liverpool used five second-half goals to defeat CSC Vidrio SC (TX-S) 5-1 on the first day of play before drawing Rise SC 05 Elite (TX-S) 1-1 on the second day of play. Dallas Kicks 05 Selecao (TX-N) used a late goal to draw Rise SC 05 2-2 on the first day, but fell to CSC Vidrio SC 4-0 on the second day of play.
Solar 05 Martinez (TX-N) won 4-0 in its first SRPL West match against Lonestar SC 05 Red (TX-S), but fell to ID Houston Dynamo 05 (TX-S) 2-1 on the second day of play, while 2017 North Texas State Cup champs FC Dallas Youth 05 Premier (TX-N) drew ID Houston Dynamo 1-1 on the first day of play before tying Lonestar SC by the same score on the second day of play.
In the fall season, four North Texas teams claimed SRPL West titles, and five more teams qualified to the 2018 Southern Regional Championships.
