
FRISCO, Texas (Sept. 20, 2018) – Of the seven US Youth Soccer National League Frontier Conference age groups that have completed multiple sets of games, North Texas teams lead six after competing in matches against Oklahoma as well as intra-association games.
A full schedule of games and standings more can be found on the Frontier Conference homepage. The US Youth Soccer National League Frontier Conference is one of 13 Conferences under the US Youth Soccer National Leagues Program in the Multi-State Tier.
The Frontier Conference consists of teams primarily from Oklahoma, North Texas and South Texas. The top teams in the Conference will earn advancement to the US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championship, part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, as well as a chance to earn a coveted spot in the National Tier of the Leagues Program, the US Youth Soccer National League. Last season, four North Texas Soccer teams claimed titles.
14-Under Boys
Defending champions Liverpool 05 Dalgish and 2018 North Texas State Cup champions Dallas Kicks 05 Selecao sit at the top of the standings after both sides secured wins against OK Energy FC Central 05 (OK) and OK Energy FC East 05 (OK). Both teams still have to face South Texas sides ID Houston Dynamo 05 (TX-S) and 2018 Southern Regional Champions Rise SC 05 Elite (TX-S) in late October in addition to facing off against each other on October 10.
15-Under Boys
2018 Southern Regional Championships finalists OK Energy FC 04 Central (OK) leads the division with a 3-0-1 record, but Dallas Kick SC 04 Selecao trails by only one point with a 3-1 record after all four North Texas and Oklahoma sides completed their cross-over matches. OK Energy FC East 04 and FC Dallas 04 Premier are currently tied for third place with 2-1-1 records.
16-Under Boys
North Texas teams went 8-0 against Oklahoma teams on the opening weekend of play, and 2018 North Texas State Cup finalists FC Dallas 03 Premier leads with a 5-0-1 record while scoring 37 goals and conceding only three. Two-time defending North Texas State Cup champions FC Premier 03 Opoku and Solar 03 De Leon are right behind FC Dallas with 4-0-2 records, while FC Dallas 03 West sits in fourth place with four wins and two losses.
17-Under Boys
Solar 02 Castro used wins against OK Energy FC 02 East (OK) and OK Energy FC 02 East (OK) on the opening weekend of play before adding two more wins against AYSES 02 Gold and Solar 02 Sawyer. After a rough start to the season, defending Frontier Conference champions FC Dallas 02 Premier earned wins over AYSES and Solar 02 Sawyer to move into fourth place.
18-Under Girls
Last season’s runner-up Fever United 01 Penn and 2018 State Cup champions Dallas Texans 01 Red each earned two victories to move to the top of the standings. Fever won 3-0 against OK Energy FC East 01 (OK) and Lady Lions (TX-S) to open the season, while Dallas Texans defeated Lions 1-0 on day one before earning a 7-0 victory against OK Energy on the second day. Dallas Texans 01 Dallas sits in third place after a 1-0 win against FC Dallas 01 West.
18-Under Boys
North Texas teams hold the top four positions in the 18-Under Boys age group, as North Texas State Cup finalists FC Dallas 01 Premier leads the way with a 6-0 record. FC Dallas won all four matches against Oklahoma in addition to wins against FC Dallas 01 Central and Sporting United 01 in a rematch of the 2018 State Cup finals. 2018 Southern Regional Championships finalists Solar 01 Stricker is tied with Sporting United and FC Dallas 01 Central for second place with a 4-2 record
19-Under Boys
FC Dallas 00 Boys and FC Dallas 00 Premier finished at the top of the standings last season and are currently in the same position as both sides earned two wins against Oklahoma to open play. Defending champions FC Dallas 00 Boys combined for 18 goals and one allowed, while 2018 State Cup champions FC Dallas 00 Premier scored 10 goals while allowing two. The two sides’ next Frontier Conference match will be against each other on October 10.
