FRISCO, Texas (June 8, 2018) – Eleven North Texas Soccer teams will travel to Greenville, S.C. to compete at the 2018 US Youth Soccer South Presidents Cup. Teams earned the regional bid after winning the 2018 North Texas Soccer Presidents Cup, which took place at Valley Ridge Park in Cedar Hill, Texas and Harold Patterson Sports Center in Arlington, Texas from March 7-11.
The 2018 US Youth Soccer South Presidents Cup, which takes place June 13-17 at the MeSA Soccer Complex, is comprised of 13-Under through 18-Under Boys and Girls teams from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Texas and Tennessee. Regional winners will then represent the South Region at the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup held in Westfield, Ind. from July 11-15, 2018.
Last year, eight of the ten North Texas teams that competed at the South Presidents Cup advanced to the semifinals with 14-Under Girls Solar and 16-Under Boys Dallas Texans ultimately claiming regional titles.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup offers teams the challenge of experiencing different types of play by competing from state to regional to national levels. The Presidents Cup provides teams with a progressive, competitive experience that highlights competition, camaraderie and community.
