U.S. U-23 WNT Pool: Abby Marie Smith (Dallas, TX; Dallas Texans)/2005 – 2008 NTX 93 GODP Pool Player

Why do ODP players continue to stand out in the selection process for National Team selection? Among the US Youth Soccer ODP players to be named to the Under-20 roster is Katie Cousins, who was named the nation’s top high school girls soccer player earlier this year. Cousins offers a very good explanation:

“Coming together with new people that I haven’t really played with much, it forces me to figure them out quickly and learn what works best,” Cousins said of US Youth Soccer ODP. “When I go to National Team camps, it is the same exact same thing. I’m used to it, which helps out a lot and gets me going pretty quickly with the other players.”

We all congratulate the above NTX ODP players selected to their National Team Pool, and wish them much success this coming year as they represent NTX ODP and the United States.
