Nebraska Spring Classic to Take Place of Kohl's Cup

Nebraska State Soccer Announces the

Nebraska Spring Classic

Tournament to take place of traditional Kohl’s American Cup

Omaha, NE (December 15th)—This spring, Nebraska State Soccer will host its annual spring recreational tournament, but it will be under a name you may not recognize. The Nebraska Spring Classic tournament is a new exciting opportunity to expand the former Kohl’s American Cup and allow us to continue to host a recreational state wide tournament.

Earlier this year US Youth Soccer announced that its long partnership with Kohl’s was ending, thus leaving the Kohl’s American Cup program without its namesake sponsor. While we loved being a yearly host of the Kohl’s American Cup, we are ultimately committed to simply providing our members with a  state wide and state run recreational tournament.

US Youth recently announced a new partnership with Target to create a nation wide replacement for the Kohl’s American Cup, which we hope to get involved with in the future.

The Nebraska Spring Classic will host all of the age groups and run with the same rules and policies as the Kohl’s American Cup. Below are the details of our spring recreational tournament.
