The 2017-18 US youth Soccer National League season, which features 14U-18U teams, will kick off Nov. 30 with the opening weekend for the girls, while the boys begin Dec. 7. All games will take place in Wilson, N.C., and Rocky Mount, N.C.
The National League is designed to reward teams for developing elite talent and earning success in US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues and Regional Championships, as the top finishing teams in these competitions directly qualify for the National League. Once in the National League, the top teams from each age group division qualify to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, and also secure a spot to return to National League play the following season.
Solar 02 Naizer – Blue Division
After reaching the 2017 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships finals, Solar 02 Naizer will get its first taste of the National League this weekend. All 16 of the players who reached the regional finals will return this season and will join three newcomers with hopes of making an immediate impact on the national stage. Solar is not the only debuting squad in its division, as the 2017 North Texas State Cup semifinalists’ first three games will be against National League newcomers.

Solar 02 – White Division
Solar 02 head coach Charles Grado led Solar 02 Grado (TX-N) to a 2017 Southern Regional Championships title last season, but only defender Lauren Miller returns from the team that finished third in its group at the 2017 National Championships. However, there will be plenty of talent on display, as Solar will feature a trio of North Texas ad South Region ODP players in Miranda Cairns, Mariela Stephens and Wimberley Wright. Solar will get a good test in the opening match when they take on 2016-17 National League Blue Runners-up Legends FC 02 Academy (CA-S).
