The 2017-18 US Youth Soccer National League season, which features 14U-18U teams, began Nov. 30 with the opening weekend for the girls, while the boys begin Dec. 7. All games will take place in Wilson, N.C., and Rocky Mount, N.C.
The National League is designed to reward teams for developing elite talent and earning success in US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues and Regional Championships, as the top finishing teams in these competitions directly qualify for the National League. Once in the National League, the top teams from each age group division qualify to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, and also secure a spot to return to National League play the following season.
Odyssey 02 (TX-N)
Odyssey 02 will make its debut in the National League courtesy of a second-place finish in the 2016 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Premier League (SRPL) West. Odyssey was unable to repeat its SRPL success this season, but the 2017 North Texas State Cup semifinalists, who feature a host of players with North Texas and South Region Olympic Development Program (ODP) experience, will hope to make a statement in its first National League season.

Solar Red 02 Stricker (TX-N)
After claiming its first Southern Regional Championship and National Championship earlier this year, four-time North Texas State Cup champions Solar Red 02 Stricker will look to win its first National League title after finishing in second last season. Solar returns 2016 National Championships Golden Glove and Golden Ball winners Christopher Edwards and Riley O’Donnell and National Championships Best XI players Richard Garcia and Haden Biering, in addition to the bulk of their roster that won the National Championships in July.
