FRISCO, Texas (March 10, 2018) – The fourth day of play concluded at the 2018 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer Presidents Cup  as teams advanced to the semifinals in select divisions as North Texas teams continue their quest for a state title and the opportunity to advance to the 2018 US Youth Soccer Southern Presidents Cup in Greenville, S.C. Last year, eight of the 10 North Texas Presidents Cup Champions advanced to the semifinals of the 2017 Southern Presidents Cup with 14-Under Solar 03 Wells and 16-Under Dallas Texans 01 Red ultimately claiming regional titles.

Teams in the 13-Under through 18-Under boys and girls age groups will compete at Valley Ridge Park in Cedar Hill, Texas and Harold Patterson Sports Center in Arlington, Texas From March 7-11. Champions will be crowned March 11, with the winners representing North Texas at the Southern Presidents Cup at the MeSA Soccer Complex in Greenville, S.C. from June 12-17, 2018. Regional winners will then represent Region III at the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup held in Westfield, Ind. from July 11-15, 2018.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a state, regional and national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

13-Under Boys

Dallas Rebels will advance to the semifinals after winning Group A with a 3-0 record. Dallas Rebels began the morning on a high note with a 8-1 win against FC Dallas ETX 06 before narrowly defeating FC Dallas Youth 05 Navy 3-2. FC Dallas 05 Navy also advances to the semifinals as a wildcard. FC Dallas ETX 05 Bravo will make it two FC Dallas sides in the semifinals after winning Group B with a 3-0 record. FC Dallas ETX defeated FC Lightning 05 6-1 in the first match of the day and earned a 3-1 victory against Texas Premier FC Barca 05 to close out group play. F.C. Warryors 05 will round out the group after also going 3-0 in group play to secure Group C. Warryors took care of business in the morning with a 2-0 win over FC Dallas Youth 05 North and ensured the final semifinals spot after a 4-2 win against Fever United 05 Penn in the evening.
 

13-Under Girls

Sparta FC 05 put itself in prime position to advance to the 13-Under Girls final after going 2-0 in their first two matches. Sparta began the tournament with a 2-0 win over Solar 05 Bourg before edging out Stephenville United FC 2-1 in the second match of the day. Sparta will play Sting Dallas 05 Roach, who currently sits in second place after defeating Stephenville United 2-1 at the beginning of the day and drawing Solar 05 Bourg 1-1 later in the day.
 

14-Under Boys
After both sides earned convincing wins against FC Dallas Youth 04 North, FC Dallas ETX 04 Premier and Barcelona SC 04 battled to a 1-1 draw and needed kick from the mark to determine who would win Group A. FC Dallas would convert all five of its kicks to secure the group title and a guaranteed spot in the semifinals. Barcelona would also advance as the wildcard. Solar 04 Haylock earned a semifinals spot after its 1-0 win against FC Premier 04 resulted in a 2-0 record and a first place finish in Group B. Dallas Tigres would secure the final spot in the semifinals after a 4-0 win against John 3:16 Academy and a 2-1 win over FC Dallas Youth 04 gave the squad a 3-0 record in group play.

14-Under Girls

Texas Shock FC 04 and FC Dallas WTX 04 have a leg up heading into the final group play game after both sides won one game and drew each other. FC Dallas WTX defeated East Texas Football 04 1-0 to begin the day, while Texas Shock earned a 4-0 win against FC Dallas 04 West. East Texas Football defeated FC Dallas Youth 04 West 1-0 in each team’s second game of the day.

 

15-Under Boys

Colleyville SA Evolution 03 took control of Group A and secured a spot in the semifinals with a 3-1 over FPS FC 03. Evolution was able to hold off FC Dallas 03 East after FC Dallas won 1-0 over FPS earlier in the day. Dallas Texans 03 West will join Evolution in the semifinals after defeating 2017 North Texas Presidents Cup semi-finalists Arsenal SC 03 Mendez 3-2 to begin the day and defeating Fever United 03 Nichols in a dramatic 4-3 match to finish 3-0 in group play.

2017 North Texas Presidents Cup finalists Real GP 03 Rodriguez will advance to the semifinals again after going 2-0-1 to win Group C. Real GP defeated Arlington FC 9-2 in the morning before finishing the day with a scoreless draw against Liverpool 03 Fowler. Sporting United SC 03 earned the final spot in the semifinals by virtue of winning Group D. Sporting defeated FC Premier 03 3-1 in its first match of the game before winning 9-1 over Dallas Kicks 03 Venom in its second game.

15-Under Girls

Sparta FC 03 took Group A after defeating Arlington Classic Crush 8-1 in the morning and winning 3-0 against Americas FC 03 in the evening to earn a spot in the semifinals. Dallas Texans Central 03 started off the day with a 2-0 win over Kernow Storm before winning Group B with a 5-1 win over Ennis Thunder FC 03. FC Dallas Youth 03 White took home the final group with a 3-0 record while scoring 11 goals and only conceding one. FC Dallas earned a 3-1 against D’Feeters Kicks 03 and took down AYSES 03 Gold in the final group game to earn a spot in the semifinals.

16-Under Boys

Dallas Texans 02 Red Fort Worth secured a slot in the semifinals and a first place finish in Group A thanks to a 5-1 win over AYSES East 02 Black. FC Dallas wrapped up an undefeated group run with a 2-1 win over 2017 North Texas Presidents Cup finalists Real GP 02 Rodriguez to begin the day followed by a 3-1 win against FC Lightning 02 to move to the top of Group B and advance to the semifinals. Defending North Texas Presidents Cup champions Dallas Kicks 02 Selecao and El Azul FC 02 will both advance to the semifinals, but which team will win Group C and which will advance as a wildcard will be determined from kicks from the mark tomorrow morning after both sides won twice today.
 

16-Under Girls

After defeating D’Feeters Kicks 02 on Wednesday, FC Dallas 02 Blue earned a spot in the finals after a scoreless draw with Solar 02 Hernandez to win Group A. Joining FC Dallas will be Mutiny FC 02, who made a strong entrance on its first day of play with a 3-1 win against Dallas Texans 02 Central in the morning and a 1-0 win against defending North Texas State Cup champions and 2017 Southern Presidents Cup finalists NTX Celtic 02 McCallum later in the evening.
 

17-Under Boys

2017 North Texas Presidents Cup finalists Solar 01 Fagen will return to the semifinals after a 4-0 win over AYSES 01 Gold gave the team two wins in as many games. OU United also won its group with a 2-0 record after a 3-0 win against America Gold 01 solidified a spot in the next round. FC Dallas Youth 01 West earned a hard-fought 4-2 win against Mutiny FC 01 in the morning before winning 7-0 against American Academy of Soccer to win Group C with a 3-0 record, while Arsenal 01 also went 3-0 as a result of shutout wins against  Kernow Storm FC 01 and Olympians SC 01 on Saturday.

17-Under Girls

Q Factor FC 01 took control of the group after posting two wins today. Q Factor first defeated Cadence FC 5-1 before edging out Mutiny FC 01 1-0 later in the day. Mutiny currently sits in second place after winning 8-0 over Texas Lightning in its first game of the tournament, while FC Dallas Youth 01 West is currently in third place.
 

18-Under Boys

American Academy of Soccer and AYSES East 00 Gold will meet in the finals as both sides won their respective groups. American Academy defeated Leon FC 00 2-1 to secure its spot in the finals, while AYSES edged out Samba King 00 3-2 to win Group B.

 

18-Under Girls

Texas Lightning will head to the finals after a narrow 3-2 win over D’Feeters 00 Villarruel in a battle of teams that won on Thursday night. The second finalist will be determined tomorrow morning when D’Feeters takes on 2017 North Texas Presidents Cup semi-finalists Liverpool 00 Rush.
