FRISCO, Texas (May 6, 2017) –  With one day left in the group stage, knockout rounds took shape at the 2017 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer State Cup, the premier club soccer competition in North Texas as 178 teams continue their quest for a state championship and the opportunity to advance to the 2017 US Youth Soccer Region III Championships.

Teams in the Under-11 through Under-19/20 boys and girls age groups began play at Richland College and the University of Texas at Dallas. Champions will be crowned May 14, with the winners in the Under-13 through Under-19/20 boys and girls age groups representing North Texas at the Region III Championships at Bryan Park Soccer Complex in Greensboro, N.C. from June 23-29, 2017.

US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Premier League winners in the Under-13 and Under-14 Boys and Girls age groups along with champions and runner-ups in the Under-15 through Under19/20 Boys and Girls age groups will join State Cup Champions and select wildcards at the Region III Championships. Regional winners will then represent Region III at the 2017 US Youth Soccer National Championships held at Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco Texas on July 25-29.

The North Texas Soccer State Cup is the first step in the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series. Boys and girls teams in multiple age groups earn their way by competing against the top teams in their state and region. US Youth Soccer State Champions and selected wildcard teams are eligible to compete in one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The champions in the 13U through 19/20U age groups from each regional event will converge in the finals with the National League teams.

Under-11 Boys
Group A will be a three-team race involving Dallas Texans 06 Salazar, FC Dallas Youth 06 Academy and FC Dallas Youth 06 Navy after two games. FC Dallas 06 Academy defeated MRSC 06 Davidson 10-0, while Dallas Texans and FC Dallas 06 Navy’s back-and-forth match resulted in a 5-5 draw. Dallas Texas would outlast FC Dallas Academy 1-0 later in the day, and FC Dallas 06 Navy moved to first place in the Group after a 4-0 win over MRSC. In Group B, the match between Athletico Espanol FC and Solar Chelsea 06 Barboza ended in a 1-1 draw, while Dallas Texans 06 Dallas defeated NTX Celtic 06 Kelly 7-0.

Under-11 Girls
Dallas Texans 06 Pane defeated Dallas Texans 06 Mid Cities 2-0 and FC Dallas nabbed a 3-0 win against D’Feeters 06 Black in the opening matches of Group A and B respectively. D’feeters 06 Colon and Solar Chelsea 06 Springate will face-off on Sunday with the Group D title on the line after both sides earned victories over Dallas Kicks SC 06 Perette and Sting East 06 Gray on Saturday.

Under-12 Boys
Solar Chelsea 05 Castro and FC Dallas Youth 05 Academy both earned shutout victories over FC Lightning 05 and will play tomorrow to determine the Group A winner. Both Dallas Texans 05 Dallas and FC Dallas Youth 05 went 2-0 against Independiente 05 and Solar Chelsea 05 Quiroz to advance to the top of Group B. The two sides will determine a Group B champion when they play against each other on Sunday.

Under-12 Girls
Dallas Kicks SC Selecao 05 took control of Group A with two wins on Saturday. Kicks first defeated Triumph Futbol 05 Oakes 11-0 in the morning before grabbing a 3-0 win over Dallas Kicks SC JM. Dallas Kicks JM sits in second place as a result of a 2-0 win over Sting East 05 Gray. Fever United 05 Penn moved to the top of Group B thanks to wins over FC Dallas Youth 05 North White and Sting North 05 Covey. Next in the standings is Liverpool 05 Elite after defeating Sting North 5-0 and battling FC Dallas 05 North to a scoreless draw.

Under-13 Boys
Group A still has all four sides in contention for a semifinals slot after each team played two games. Dallas Kicks 04 Selecao has the prime position with a 1-0-1 record after drawing Dallas Texans 04 Dallas 1-1 and defeating Rayos FC 04 Tenorio. FC Dallas Youth 04 South Red sits in second after tying Rayos 2-2 and Dallas Texans 2-2. In Group B, FC Dallas Youth 04 Premier defeated Texas Xteme FC 4-2 and FC Dallas Youth 04 East Gold edged out FC Dallas Youth 04.

Saturday 4
Under-13 Girls
Dallas Texans 05 South currently sits atop Group A after going 1-0-1 on Day 3. Dallas Texans first drew FC Dallas Youth 04 Blue 1-1 before defeating 2016-17 SRPL West Division champions Dallas Texans 04 South. Dallas Texans 04 will play FC Dallas on Sunday. Solar Chelsea has a narrow edge in Group B after defeating FC Dallas Youth 04 Premier 3-1 before falling to Dallas Rush FC Voutier by the same score. FC Dallas and Rush will play the group’s final game on Sunday.

Under-14 Boys
Dallas Texans 03 STH Hernandez and Real GP 03 Rodriguez battled to a 3-3 draw in Group A’s opening match, while Solar Chelsea 03 Sawyer narrowly defeated Dallas Texans 03 Dallas 1-0 in Group B. FC Premier put itself in prime position at the top of Group C with a 3-0 win against FC Dallas Youth 03 Central to start the day and a thrilling 4-3 victory over Falls Town FC 03 to finish it. Falls Town defeated FC Dallas Youth 03 Blue 1-0 in the second morning match, but FC Dallas 03 Blue would recover to take a 5-1 win over FC Dallas 03 Central later in the day. Two Solar sides will meet tomorrow to determine who will win Group D and advance to the semifinals after Solar Chelsea 03 Deleon and Solar Chelsea 03 Cates both notched victories over MRSC Revolution 03 Medina and FC Dallas 03 Silver on Saturday.

Under-14 Girls
In the opening matches of the tournament, Sting East 03 Dunstan outlasted Kernow Storm FC 03 2-1 in Group A, Solar Chelsea 03 Grado and Dallas Texans 03 Red Dallas fought to a 1-1 tie in Group B and Sting West 03 Khan upended Liverpool 03 Owen 3-1 I Group C.

Under-15 Boys
Real GP 02 Rodriguez edged out Cruz Azul FC 02 1-0 to secure its first win of the tournament and join defending North Texas State Cup champs Solar Chelsea 02 Stricker at the top of Group A. Liverpool 02 Rush took care of business against Real GP 02 Gold 4-0 and will meet Dallas Texans 02 South tomorrow to determine who will advance to the semifinals in Group B. After a narrow defeat on Day 1, AYSES 02 Gold earned its first win of the tournament 2-1 against Solar Chelsea 02 Castro in Group C. Solar Chelsea 02 Sawyer and Odyssey SC 02 will battle it out for the right to advance to the semifinals out of Group D, after both sides earned their second straight victory on Day 3. Solar claimed a 4-0 win over FC Lightning, while Odyssey earned a 3-0 win over John 3:16 Academy.
Saturday 2
Under-15 Girls
Solar Chelsea sits in first place of Group A after earning a 4-1 win over Dallas Kicks 02 SC. This was the second match of the day for Dallas Kicks after their match against Mutiny FC 2002 ended in a 0-0 draw. Sting Dallas 02 Royal has firm control over Group B after two wins on Saturday. Sting first defeated Solar Chelsea Fagen 02 4-2 and later edged out Sparta FC 02 Elite 1-0. Group C will come down to a battle between Solar Chelsea 02 Hopkins and Dallas Texans 02 Dallas after both sides recorded shutouts against Solar Chelsea 02 Hernandez. Group D will see two 2-0 teams battle it out for a semifinals spot as FC Dallas Youth 02 Premier and Sting Dallas 02 Flanagan both defeated Cyclones FC and Sting North 02 Larry on Saturday.

Under-16 Boys
In Group A, Mexico 01 and FC Dallas Youth 01 Premier will meet Sunday to determine the Group A winner after Mexico 01 defeated Dallas Tigres Academy 01 3-0 on Saturday. Group B holds a similar situation as Solar Chelsea 01 Elite Fagen will play against Sporting United 01 tomorrow after Sporting earned a 4-0 win over FC Premier 01. In Group C, defending North Texas State Cup champion Solar Chelsea 01 Stricker and FC Dallas Youth 01 Central each sport 2-0 records after netting wins on Thursday and today. The two sides will convene on the final day of group play to determine a group winner.

Under-16 Girls
Sting Central 01 Parker battled fellow club side Sting North 01 Larry to a scoreless draw in Group A, while Solar Chelsea 01 Wells defeated Mutiny FC 2001 3-0 in Group B. FC Dallas Youth 01 West moved to the top of Group C courtesy of a 4-1 win over City Development Academy 01 Red. Solar Chelsea 01 Fagen and Dallas Texans 01 Dallas are at the top of Group D with 1-0-1 records after Solar drew DSC Dynasty Royal 01 1-1, while Dallas Texans 01 defeated Dallas Texans 01 White 2-2.
Saturday 3Under-17 Boys
2016-17 SRPL champions FC Dallas 00 Premier sits alone at the top of Group A after a 5-1 win over Dallas Texans Red 00, while defending North Texas State Cup champions and Group B leaders FC Dallas Youth 00 have also earned a 2-0 record thanks to a 3-1 win over Forth Worth United FC 00 White today. Dallas Texans 00 South took control over Group D with a 3-1 win over Solar Chelsea 00 Passos. Anoranzas holds a narrow lead in Group E after Liverpool narrowed the gap with a 6-0 win over Falls Town FC 00.

Under-17 Girls
Dallas Texans 00 Dallas defeated Texas Spirit 5-0 to set up a showdown against three-time defending North Texas State Cup Champions and 2015 US Youth Soccer National Championships finalists Dallas Kicks SC 00 with the Group A title on the line. In Group C, Sting North 00 Angell and Dallas Texans 00 Black FTW will have a showdown of their own after both sides have collected convincing shutout wins over AYSES East 00 Gold and D’Feeters 00 Matteck in the first couple days of play.

Under-18 Boys
Solar Chelsea 99 Martinez joined FC Dallas 99 East at the top of Group A with a 1-0 win over Dallas Roma FC 99. FC Dallas Youth 99 Premier face-off against defending North Texas State Cup champions Dallas Texans 99 Red to determine the Group B winner after FC Dallas earned a 6-1 win over Liverpool 99 Owen while Dallas Texans beat Kernow Storm FC 99 7-3. Dallas Texans 99 Dallas and Solar Chelsea 99 Sawyer stayed at the top of Group C after Dallas Texans 99 Dallas beat Dallas Texans 99 White 5-2, and Solar took down Liverpool 99 Kuyt 4-2.

Under-18 Girls
In Group A, FCUSA Texas 99 drew Aztecs FC 00 2-2 as Solar Chelsea 99 Grado stays at the top of the Group. Liverpool 99 Toshack took care of business with a 3-0 win over FC Dallas 99 East to join Sting Central 99 Parker at the top of Group B. Sting West 99 cemented its status as the Group C leader with  a 1-0 win over Dallas Texans 99 North to improve its record to 2-0.

Under-19 Boys
Barcelona continued its hold on Group A with a 4-0 win over Dallas Texans 98 STH Hernandez, leaving Texans and Solar Chelsea 98 Passos to fight for second place tomorrow. FC Dallas Youth 98 West and FC Dallas Youth 98 Premier each sport 2-0 records in Group B after FC Dallas West beat FC Dallas Youth 98 7-1 and FC Dallas Premier won 5-1 over Xtreme FC 98.
