FC Pride to Represent Indiana Soccer at the US Youth Soccer Nationals on
July 26-31, 2016 in Frisco, TX.

FC Pride U15 Girls ’01 Elite team, comprised of girls across the northeast of Indianapolis, are 2014 US Club National Champions, 2015 Indiana State Champions, 2015 US Youth Soccer National Bronze Medalist, and now 2016 US Youth Soccer National League Divisional Champions. What’s next? After this July, they hope to be 2016 US Youth Soccer Gold Medalist.
This past Sunday, May 20, FC Pride ‘01 Elite’s midfielder Alexi Hardie scored their game winning goal in the final 3 minutes of their final match, giving them the three points they needed to secure themselves as the top of their Division, and automatically advance them to Nationals this July 26-31 in Fresco, TX.
The team fought hard to the top of their division in the US Youth Soccer National League Tournament in Las Vegas, NV this past December and March. They were truly motivated to finish strong so they could the opportunity to redeem themselves in Nationals this summer. They tied reigning National Champions, Legends FC (CA), on Saturday, May 19. Their final
tournament record was 4-1-2, with just a total of 4 goals against.
Their Coach Matt Blackbourne has nothing but pride for his girls, saying, "Again they showed the determination to compete with the very best.  No team works harder than this group and it shows. Time and time again when their backs are against the wall they come through. We're all very proud of them”.
George Perry, Indiana Soccer League (ISL) Commissioner is continually impressed by the FC United ’01 Elite girls, “This team is fun to watch play. Their individual and team play is exceptional and it is great to see their reward is playing with and against the top talent in the country. They have represented their state, club and themselves extremely well.”
The National League is an extension of the highly successful US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues (US Youth Soccer Region I Champions League, Midwest Regional League, Southern Regional Premier League and Far West Regional League). The National League provides an avenue for teams to play in meaningful matches against top competition from across the country for continued development and opportunities for exposure at the national team, collegiate and professional levels.

The National League’s alumni have gone on to prove themselves at the collegiate and professional levels, with former players competing in NCAA Division I, II and III, Major League Soccer, National Women’s Soccer League, English Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The top pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft (Jack Harrison) and the 2016 NWSL Draft (Emily Sonnett) are both former National League players.
