INDIANA SOCCER RECEIVES $15,000 DONATION FROM MEIJER AND MONDELEZ

September 8, 2014 04:38 PM

Indiana Soccer is thankful and pleased to be receiving a $15,000 donation from Meijer and Mondelez as part of the contribution of $100,000 to be distributed among six associations.  The donation is intended to support outreach programs, i.e., TOPSoccer and Soccer Across America.

Kick In for Your Community campaign ran from May 18th to June 25th, 2014.  The campaign offered members of Michigan, Ohio North / South, Illinois, Kentucky and Indiana associations, special promotions when purchasing NABISCO products.  The state associations believe that the contribution made will support thousands of children that are involved in the beautiful game of soccer through these two special US Youth Soccer outreach programs.

Indiana Soccer was honored to receive the check during a ceremony conducted on Thursday, September 4th at one of the Meijer stores in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where Meijer is headquartered.  Indiana Soccer is excited to have access to this contribution to enhance the current TOPSoccer and Soccer Across America programs activated by affiliated clubs across the state.

“It was a privilege to participate with Mejer and Mondelez in the Kick in for your Community campaign” stated Dave Guthrie, Indiana Soccer’s Executive Director.  He further stated “The generous gift presented by Mondelez and Mejer will go a long way to expanding and strengthening some of Indiana Soccer’s member club’s outreach programing.”

Indiana Soccer certainly looks forward to a continued relationship with Mejer and Mondelez over the next few years in order to provide support for member clubs that are investing themselves in outreach programing.
