June 6, 2016 04:21 PM

Indiana Soccer concluded the Championships Round of the 2016 State, Presidents and Challenge Cup. Over 175 teams participated in a total of 110 games played at the Richard Wigh Soccer Complex in Columbus, Indiana.

“Indiana Soccer strives to provide an atmosphere in which players of every age and skill level can compete," Indiana Soccer’s Cups Director Angel Hall, stated.  "We had a great turnout this year and expect to have an even better number next year as more kids from different backgrounds are getting involved in the game around the state," Hall, concluded.

Boys and Girls teams from U11 – U18 divisions played exciting games throughout the two days of competition this past weekend. U13 and older who won their divisions in the State and Presidents Cups will advance to Midwest Regionals that will be played at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana.  The competition will begin with the
US Youth Soccer Midwest Presidents Cup on June 15-19, and will conclude with the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships on June 24-29, 2016.

Indiana Soccer would like to thank Columbus Express and the rest of the clubs' soccer fields around the state for working with the Cup's committee to give thousands of children access to play all the games of the Finals Weekend.
