Kirezi Freddy, 02 Player, Traveled to Argentina to Train and Compete
Against Local Youth Teams

Indiana ODP Player, Kirezi Freddy, was chosen by US Youth Soccer’s ODP Program to travel to Argentina March 25 – April 3 to compete with the All-Star 2002 Boys team. The team spent the first few days training and then traveled around the country playing matches against local Argentina clubs.

Kirezi Freddy is a Forward and plays with Dynamo FC club team. He’s been a part of the ODP program since Spring of 2015. Freddy is from the Congo and recently moved to America 2012. After arriving in Buenos Aires Saturday morning the boys attended a professional match after which Freddy said, “This place reminds me of home! It is very loud.”

March 28 his team played their first game against Racing Club de Avellaneda of Argentina which ended in a 1-1 draw. The team fell short in their second game against San Lorenzo de Almagro in a 4-0 loss. During their trip to Rosario where they plated San Lorenzo they got a tour of the city and had the opportunity to visit the Boca Juniors Stadium and Museum. In their third game against Newell’s Old Boys Freddy scored their lone goal, in front of the US U15 National Team Scouts. This has truly been an incredible opportunity for Freddy.
