FRISCO, Texas (March 8, 2019) – Play continued at the 2019 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer Presidents Cup as 32 of 101 teams from North Texas began their quest  for a state title and the opportunity to advance to the 2019 US Youth Soccer Southern Presidents Cup in Round Rock, Texas. Last season, four of the 12 North Texas Presidents Cup champions reached the Southern Presidents Cup finals, with two teams advancing to the 2018 National Presidents Cup. Mutiny FC 02 White ultimately claimed the 16-Under Girls National Presidents Cup title.

Teams in the 13-Under through 18-Under boys and girls age groups will compete at Valley Ridge Park in Cedar Hill, Texas and Harold Patterson Sports Center in Arlington, Texas From March 7-10, with March 11 being available if needed. Champions will be crowned March 10, with the winners representing North Texas at the Southern Presidents Cup June 11-16 in Round Rock, Texas. Regional winners will then represent the South Region at the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup held in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a state, regional and national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

13-Under Girls

A pair of draws keeps every team within striking distance in Group C as Texas Spirit 06 Khoury and Solar East 06 Annis drew 2-2, while Dfeeters Kicks 06 Perette/Colon and FC Dallas 06 Central battled to a 1-1 result.

 

13-Under Boys

Mambas FC 06 Black used a strong opening win over Solar East 06 Spear to move to the top of Group A. Dallas Rebels 06 will join Mambas FC after a 4-1 win against Liverpool 06 Alonso. Elite United FC and Irving Spiderz 06 each netted three goals in their wins on Friday. Elite United defeated DI Stars FC Levante 3-0, while Irving Spiderz edged out Athletico Espanol 06 3-2. Sporting United SC 06 Videla won 5-0 against Dallas Texans 06 Salazar, while American Premier 06 secured a narrow 2-1 win against LBK FC 06 Patton.

14-Under Girls

Solar 05 Covey and Sparta FC 05 moved to the top of Group B after strong wins to open the tournament against Midland United Chivas 05 and Stephenville United FC 05 respectively.

 

14-Under Boys

OU United scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory over Dallas Kicks 05 Santos and will join FC Warryors 05 at the top of Group A after the defending champions won 6-0 over Sporting United SC 05 Hale to open the tournament. Fever United 05 W Smith took care of business with a win against Garland Tigres Academy, while AC Milan Prado 04 earned a 4-1 win over FC Dallas Youth 05 Red to join Fever at the top of Group B. FC Lightning 05 and FC Dallas 05 North used two-goal victories to open play in Group C. FC Lightning earned a 2-0 win over Texas Premier FC Barca 05, while FC Dallas won 3-1 against AYSES 05 Gold.
