Fourteen North Texas Soccer players named to ODP Regional Camp

FRISCO, Texas (Aug. 2, 2017) – North Texas Soccer was well represented in the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) Regional Pools in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Players first competed on North Texas Soccer ODP teams at the ODP Regional Trials, which ran from July 6-21 in the 2001-04 Boys and Girls age groups,  before fourteen players were chosen to participate in the Regional Holdover Camp

As a member of the ODP Region III pool, the fourteen North Texas Soccer players are now eligible to attend regional camps, interregional US Youth Soccer ODP events and even participate in international trips.

Among the players selected was Ethan Orozco, who has represented Region III on international trips and at the 2016 US Youth Soccer Thanksgiving Interregional. Orozco recently won the 2017 US Youth Soccer National Championships while playing with Solar Chelsea Red 02 Stricker. Kaleem Shabout was on the Solar Chelsea 01 Stricker team that reached the quarterfinals of the 2017 US Youth Soccer Region III Championships.
