GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 16, 2018) – Of the 11 North Texas Soccer teams that began the tournament, 13-Under Girls Sting Dallas 05 Roach, 15-Under Girls Sparta FC, 16-Under Girls Mutiny FC 02 White and 17-Under Girls Q Factor 01 claimed semifinals wins at the 2018 US Youth Soccer Southern Presidents Cup.

The 2018 Southern Presidents Cup takes place June 13-17 at MeSa Soccer Complex in Greenville, S.C. The tournament will feature teams in the 13-Under through 18-Under Boys and Girls age groups with the winners advancing to the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, which will be held July 11-15 in Westfield, Ind.

Last year, eight of the ten North Texas teams that competed at the South Presidents Cup advanced to the semifinals with 14-Under Girls Solar and 16-Under Boys Dallas Texans ultimately claiming regional titles.

North Texas teams will join other South Region State Associations: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Texas and Tennessee.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a state, regional and national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
