
FRISCO, Texas (Dec. 18, 2017) – North Texas Soccer sides 16-Under FC Dallas Youth 02 Premier, 18-Under FC Dallas Youth 00 Che, 14-Under Girls D’Feeters 04 Voutier and 15-Under Girls Liverpool 03 Elite all claimed US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Premier League (SRPL) West titles as play concluded this past weekend.
The four winners will join SRPL West runners-up 14U Girls FC Dallas Youth 04 Blue, 16U Girls Sparta FC 02 Elite, 17U Girls Fever United 01 Guerra, 18U Girls D’Feeters Kicks SC 00 and 19U Girls Solar 99 Grado at the 2018 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships, which will take place June 22-28 in Greensboro, N.C.

The SRPL is comprised of competitive teams in the 13-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups in the Southern Region playing in league format. Division winners receive a bid to the Southern Regional Championships, and winners from select age groups qualify for the prestigious US Youth Soccer National League. The West division is comprised of teams from North Texas, Oklahoma and South Texas.

Notes from final weekend...
14U Boys
Dallas Kicks 04 Selecao (TX-N) secured a second-place finish in the 14-Under Boys division after placing ninth last season. The Kicks used a 3-0 win over WH Elite (TX-S) on the final day of play to finish with a 6-1-2 record while scoring 21 goals and conceding nine.
15U Boys
Defending North Texas State Cup Champions FC Premier 03 (TX-N) used a 9-2 win against ID Club Division 03 (TX-S) to finish in second place of the 15-Under Boys age group. North Texas teams took home second, third, fourth and fifth place as FC Dallas Youth 03 Premier (TX-N), Solar 03 Deleon (TX-N) and FC Dallas Youth 03 Central (TX-N) round out the top five.
16U Boys
FC Dallas 02 Premier moved to the top of the 16-Under boys age group after a 5-1 win against ID Club Division 02 (TX-S) on the final day of play. FC Dallas moved into a three-way tie with defending National Champions Solar 02 Stricker (TX-N) and OK Energy FC Central (OK), but FC Dallas claimed the SRPL title and spot at regionals after the tiebreaker.
17U Boys
Solar 01 Stricker (TX-N) claimed second-place for a second straight SRPL season after a 2-1 win over Rise SC 01 (TX-S), while Solar 01 Sawyer will earn third for a second straight season. Both sides have an opportunity to qualify directly to the 2018 National Championships via the National League as Solar 01 Sawyer currently leads the Black Division with a 3-0 record, while Solar 01 Stricker is only two points behind in the Blue Division with a 2-0-1 record.
15U Girls
Liverpool 03 Elite (TX-N) took home its second straight SRPL West title thanks to a 4-0 win over Lonestar SC 03 (TX-S). Liverpool has failed to lose an SRPL West match in the past two seasons and will hope to continue that success at the 2018 Southern Regional Championships next summer.
16U Girls
Sparta FC 02 Elite secured a second-place finish in the 16-Under Girls age group with a 3-0 win against Sting Austing 02 Composite (TX-S). Sparta went 8-1 while scoring 23 goals and conceding six. 2017 Southern Regional Championships finalists Solar 02 Naizer (TX-N) and FC Dallas Youth 02 Premier (TX-N) finished in third and fourth place respectively as both sides finished their SRPL West seasons with wins.
