FRISCO, Texas (Nov. 2, 2016) – The first two months of the 2016 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Premier League (SRPL) West are complete, and five North Texas Soccer teams lead their respective divisions, while three division leaders are from South Texas Youth Soccer Association and two hail from Oklahoma Soccer Association. The amount of division leaders from each state is identical to the beginning of October, despite only for teams retaining the top spot in their respective groups.

The SRPL is comprised of competitive teams in the Under-13 through Under-19 boys and girls age groups in Region III playing in league format. Division winners and runners-up receive a bid to the US Youth Soccer Region III Championships and winners from select age groups qualify for the prestigious US Youth Soccer National League. Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, North Texas and South Texas make up the West sub-region, while Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee make up the East sub-region.

Under-15 Boys

Solar Chelsea 02 Stricker took control of the Under-15 Boys age group from ID Club Division 02 (TX-S) and haven’t looked back. Solar, who will play in the 2016-17 US Youth Soccer National League, is the only undefeated team in the age group and sports an 8-0-1 record with a 24 goal differential. Solar’s biggest threat will likely come from fellow North Texas team Odyssey SC 02 (TX-N), who despite being six points behind Solar has a game in hand and is tied with Solar with the least amount of goals conceded with seven.

Under-16 Boys

TSC Hurricane remains at the top of the Under-16 Boys age group with a 4-1 record with Oklahoma FC 01 (OK) in second place. Louisiana Fire Red (LA) has only played three games, but sports a 2-1 record and could end up challenging the Oklahoma sides once the amount of games played catches up.

Under-17 Boys

2015 US Youth Soccer National Champions Houstonians FC 2000 sits atop the Under-17 Boys age group with a 3-0-2 record. 2016-17 National League side FC Dallas 00 Premier (TX-N) is one point behind the former national champs with a game in hand and has the best goal differential in the group at 10. Both teams will also need to be wary of TSC Hurricane 00 Elite (OK), which is 2-0-1 after playing three games.

Under-18 Boys

Four North Texas sides are within one point of each other at the top of the Under-18 Boys age group. National League squads Solar Chelsea 99 Sawyer (TX-N) and Dallas Texans 99 Red (TX-N) reside at the top of the group with 3-1-1 records, while FC Dallas Premier (TX-N) and FC Dallas 99 East (TX-N) are right below with 3-2 records.

Under-19 Boys

Houston Express leads the Under-19 Boys age group with a 3-1-1 record, but will have to hold off FC Dallas 98 Premier (TX-N) and Blitz United FC 98 (OK), who have 3-0 and 2-0 records respectively and have yet to concede a goal.

Under-15 Girls

Sting Austin continues to lead the Under-15 Girls age group while sporting a 7-0-1 record and a 18 goal differential, but still has to play the teams currently ranked second and third in the division. National League team Solar Chelsea 02 Nazier (TX-N) sits in second, and is the only team that has won every game but has played two fewer games than Sting. FC Dallas 02 Premier (TX-N) rounds out the top-three with a 6-1 record.

Under-16 Girls

Fever United 01 and Sting Dunstan (TX-N) are knotted at the top of the Under-16 Girls age group, but Fever owns the tie-breaker after beating Sting at the beginning of the season. Fever United will play a pair of South Texas teams to finish off the season in September leader Lady Lions FC 01/02 (TX-S) and Sports Group 01 Black (TX-S), while Sting will play two Oklahoma sides in Oklahoma FC 01 (OK) and TSC Hurricane 01 Bolding (OK).

Under-17 Girls

A trio of North Texas sides are at the top of the Under-17 Girls age group with Solar Chelsea 00 Bates leading the charge due to a perfect 9-0 record. Solar leads Sting North 00 Angell (TX-N) and 2015 National Championships finalist Dallas Kicks SC 00 (TX-N). Solar and Kicks will square-off this weekend with a Solar win all but securing the title.

Under-18 Girls

Oklahoma FC 99 (OK) leads a tight race in the Under-18 Girls age group with a 6-0-1 record. OFC has played fewer matches than second place Great Western Warcats 99 Navy (TX-S) and third place Houston Express 99 Navy (TX-S), but will have to look out for Solar Chelsea 99 Grado (TX-N), which has a 5-0-2 record, and is the only team to have come away with points against OFC.

Under-19 Girls

Solar Chelsea 98 (TX-N) continues to lead the Under-19 Girls age group with a 5-0-1 record. Solar is the only undefeated team in the group and can secure the regional title with a win or draw over TSC Hurricane 98/99 Killngsworth (TX-S).
