
FRISCO, Texas (Feb. 21, 2017) – The first Under-15 United States Girl’s National Team camp of 2017 wrapped up this weekend as North Texas Soccer players Camryn Lancaster, Alexis Missimo, Olivia Pena, Allison Perry and Trinity Byars were in attendance.
Forty players born in either 2003 or 2004 were called into camp at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, Calif., running from Feb. 11-18.
Byars, Missimo, Pena and Perry won the 2016 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Frisco, Texas with Solar Chelsea Red. In addition to becoming National Champions, Solar has won two US Youth Soccer North Texas State Cup titles and the 2016 US Youth Soccer Region III Championships.
Missimo and Byars have previously competed in U-14 USWNT team camps and were selected to the 2016 National Championships Best XI team with Byars tying for the most goals in the tournament with four. Pena and Perry are both member of the North Texas Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) as Pena is a current member dating back to 2015 and Perry played from 2013-15.
Lancaster plays her club soccer for Dallas Texans and reached the 2014 semifinals and 2016 quarterfinals of the North Texas State Cup. The Texans are also currently placed third in the US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Premier League (SRPL) West Under-14 Girls age group with the opportunity to move up to second place and potentially qualify for spot in the 2017 Region III Championship.
