Five additional North Texas teams claim Frontier Conference titles

North Texas Soccer teams 14-Under Boys FC Dallas 06 Premier, 16-Under Boys FC Dallas 04 Premier, 17-Under Boys Solar 03 De Leon, 18-Under Boys Solar 02 Castro and 17-Under Girls Sparta FC 03 joined the list of teams to claim Frontier Conference titles with games continuing at Rolling Hills Soccer Complex in Fort Worth, Texas.

The number of North Texas teams to secure Frontier Conference titles and ultimately secure spots in the 2020 Southern Regional Championships reach eight after this past weekend. The trio of teams that clinched this past weekend join 15-Under Boys DKSC Selecao 05, 18-Under Girls Sparta FC 02 Elite and 19-Under Boys FC Dallas 01 Premier at the top of their respective divisions.

Last season, North Texas teams claimed 12 of 14 Frontier Conference titles. The Frontier Conference is one of 13 Conferences under the US Youth Soccer National Leagues Program in the Multi-State Tier. North Texas teams in the Frontier Conference compete against each other in conjunction with the Chamber Classic League and Lake Highlands Classic League.

The Frontier Conference consists of teams primarily from Oklahoma, North Texas and South Texas. The top teams in the Conference will earn advancement to the US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championship, part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, as well as a chance to earn a coveted spot in the National Tier of the Leagues Program, the US Youth Soccer National League. Last season, four North Texas Soccer teams claimed titles.

Group Recaps

14-Under Boys

Defending Frontier Conference and Southern Regional Championship winners FC Dallas 06 Premier finished at the top of the division despite dropping its first game of the season 2-1 to FC Westlake (TX-S). The third-place finishers in the 2019 National Championships rebounded on Sunday with a 4-0 win against Barca Academy Austin 06 (TX-S). Right behind FC Dallas is F.C. Warryors 06 Nava, which picked up wins against Barca Academy and FC Westlake. 

Texas Spirit 06 Monk remains at the top of the age group courtesy of a 3-0 win over FC Westlake (TX-S). DKSC 06 Nichols and Solar East 06 Resse sit behind Spirit in a tie for second place after both sides earned wins over a pair of Oklahoma Energy FC (OK) squads this past weekend.

15-Under Boys

DKSC Selecao finished off an undefeated Frontier Conference campaign with a 6-0 win over OKC United 05 Mejia (OK) and a 2-0 victory against OK Energy FC 02 Central (OK). FC Dallas 05 Premier remained in second place after a 5-1 win over OK Energy FC 05 East (OK), while FC Dallas 05 Navy wrapped up the top three after a 5-0 win against OKC United.

15-Under Girls

Defending champs DKSC 05 Black remain at the top of the age group with a 2-0 win over Lady Lions FC 05 Red (TX-S) and a thrilling 3-3 draw against Rise SC 05 Elite (TX-S). NTX Celtic 05 Marshall sits right behind DKSC after also earning a draw and a win vs Rise and Lady Lions respectively. FC Dallas 05 West is currently positioned in third place after ending its Frontier Conference season with a 5-1 win against OK Energy FC 05 Central (05), while Sting 05 Spence occupies fourth place with one game to go after a 2-0 win against OK Energy FC.

16-Under Boys

A win this past weekend over Oklahoma Energy cliched the Frontier Conference title for FC Dallas 04 Premier. DKSC 04 Selecao and FC Dallas 06 West finished their Frontier Conference seasons on a high note with wins over FC Westlake 04 Lobitos (TX-S).

16-Under Girls

DKSC 04 Prime remains in first place after a dormant weekend, while Dallas Texans Central 04 Red moved into fourth place with a win over SA City 04 Red (TX-S) and a defeat at the hands of Rise SC 04 Elite (TX-S). FC Dallas 04 Blue currently sits in third place after a loss and a draw this weekend.

17-Under Boys

Solar De Leon will head to a second consecutive Southern Regional Championship after wrapping up a Frontier Conference title this past weekend. Solar drew OK Energy FC 03 (OK) before winning 8-1 against WOFC Fire 03 (OK) in its final game. Defending champions and 2019 National Championships semi-finalists FC Dallas 03 Premier and FC Dallas 03 Central took home second and third place respectively after both sides won against WOFC and lost to OK Energy FC.

17-Under Girls

Sparta FC 03 improved to 6-0 and clinched first place after a 2-0 win against OK Energy FC East (OK) and a 2-1 victory over OK Energy FC 03 Central (OK) this past weekend. DKSC 03 Black Hillard finished in third place after a 6-0 win against NB Ajax (TX-S), while Dallas Texans 03 Central and BVB 03 Premier currently sit in fifth and sixth respectively.

18-Under Boys

Defending Frontier Conference and National Champions Solar 02 Castro clinched back-to-back Frontier Conference titles with wins over OKC United 02 Black (OK) and OK Energy FC East 02 (OK). Solar South 02 Adames claimed second place with a 3-3 draw against OK Energy East before wrapping up Frontier Conference play with a 5-2 win against OKC United. AYSES 02 Gold and FC Dallas 02 Premier also finished their Frontier Conference schedule and currently hold third and fourth place respectively.

19-Under Girls

FC Dallas 01 West and Dallas Texans 01 Dallas each earned wins over Texas United Black (TX-S) and Lady Lions FC 01 Red (TX-S) this past weekend. Dallas Texans secured third place, while FC Dallas 01 West improved to 4-0 with a pair of wins. Defending Champions Dallas Texans 01 Red clinched a second consecutive Frontier Conference title in a thrilling 4-3 win over FC Dallas 01 West on Thursday, Nov. 21.
