FRISCO, Texas (May 17, 2019) – The second day of semifinals is now complete and finals match-ups have been cemented at the 2019 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer State Cup, the premier club soccer competition in North Texas, as North Texas Soccer teams continue their quest for a state championship and the opportunity to advance to the 2019 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships.
Teams in the 11-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups play at Richland College and the University of Texas at Dallas. Champions will be crowned May 19, with the winners in the 13-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups representing North Texas at the 2019 Southern Regional Championships in Baton Rouge La., from June 21-27, 2019.
North Texas Soccer State Cup champions will join the other State Cup champions, US Youth Soccer National League Frontier Conference, Mid South Conference, Sunshine Conference and Piedmont Conference winners and select wildcards at the Southern Regional Championships. Regional winners will then represent the South Region at the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships held at in Overland Park, Kan. on July 23-28.
The North Texas Soccer State Cup is the first step in the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series. Boys and girls teams in multiple age groups earn their way by competing against the top teams in their state and region. US Youth Soccer State Champions and selected wildcard teams are eligible to compete in one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The champions in the 13U through 19U age groups from each regional event will compete against National League winners at the National Championships.
11-Under Boys
Group A saw a pair of Solar teams advance to the semifinals after Solar East 08 Ackerson cemented first place with a 4-2 over Liverpool 08 Callaghan, while Solar 08 McKinney also advances. In Group B, FC Dallas completed an undefeated group stage with a 5-2 win against FC Dallas 08 West Blue, while Solar 08 Juliao secured second place in the group after a 1-0 win against Dallas Kicks Black.
11-Under Girls
The finals will see Sting 08 Bohannon and Dallas Texans 08 Dallas compete for the state title after Sting drew FC Dallas 08 JDL Red and Dallas Texans defeated Dallas Texans 08 Red Dallas 5-0.
12-Under Boys
Dallas Rush reserved a spot in the semifinals with a 4-1 win over Lions FC and will join fellow Group A team Solar 07 McKinney in the semifinals. Dallas Rebels 07 Loya advanced to the semifinals despite not playing today after FC Legends 07 and Leon FC drew 0-0. In Group C, Elite United FC 07 Arana earned the remaining semifinals spot with a 5-2 win against Stars and Stripes 07 Gold.
12-Under Girls
A pair of Dallas Texans teams secured spot in the semifinals after Dallas Texans 07 Dallas and Dallas Texans 07 West both won 4-1 on the final day of group play. Sting West 07 Heinz and FC Dallas 07 JDL Red will join the Dallas Texans teams in the finals after both sides earned 1-1 draws against FC Dallas 07 Central and Solar 07 Rundell respectively.
13-Under Boys
Two-time defending champions FC Dallas 06 Premier will return to the finals after a 1-0 win over FC Warryors 06 Nava. FC Dallas will play FC Dallas 06 Central Red in the finals.
14-Under Boys
The 14-Under Boys finals will be an all FC Dallas affair after FC Dallas 05 North Blue defeated 2018 finalists Liverpool 05 Dalgish 3-1. FC Dallas 05 North Blue will play FC Dallas 05 Premier in the finals after FC Dallas Premier qualified on Thursday.
15-Under Boys
High Plains Drifters 04 advanced to the finals after a 2-1 win over FC Dallas 04 West. FC Dallas 04 Boys will join High Plains in the finals after a 2-1 win of their own over Rayos FC 04.
15-Under Girls
Defending State Cup and Southern Regional Champions FC Dallas 04 Blue will return to the finals after a 3-0 win against Solar 04 Rodriguez. Dallas Texans FDL will join FC Dallas after winning 1-0 over 2018 finalists Solar 04 Rundell.
16-Under Girls
Dallas Texans FDL defeated fellow club side Dallas Texans 03 Dallas 1-0 to reserve a spot in the finals. Sparta FC 03 will join Dallas Texans FDL in the finals after a 2-0 win against 2018 finalists Liverpool 03 Owen.
18-Under Girls
Defending State Cup champions Dallas Texans 01 Red Dallas will return to the finals courtesy of a 2-1 win against fellow club side Dallas Texans 01 Dallas. Texans will play Solar 01 Wells, which advanced out of the semifinals with a win over FC Dallas 01 West.
19-Under Boys
Solar 01 Sawyer used a big win over FC Dallas 00 Central Blue to move on to the finals, and will be joined by FC Dallas 00 Boys, which defeated FC Dallas 00 Premier 2-1 in the other semifinals match. Both sides qualify for the Southern Regional Championships courtesy of FC Dallas winning the NL Frontier Conference.
