The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Day 4 of Spring State Cup

Day 4 of Spring State Cup 2017 was just as good as all the others, better perhaps as with each passing game the drama increases. With group play winding down, and some even finishing. You could feel the atmosphere become alive each and every game as teams look to move on to the quarterfinals. While still cold and with some rain drops here and there, the weather was much more cooperative than the day before which made for a happier and better atmosphere for all. 47 games were played on 18 fields with all of them having an impact on who is advancing to the quarterfinals starting Saturday. Highlights from today's action can be found below.


Day 4

Girls 18U

The Grils 18U division had a fairly uneventful evening with two draws and another 1-0 win. La Roca PO and Utah Storm 00/99 Lake however had different ideas. La Roca PO won 5-0 making a statement as to their intent and wrapping up a group play stage undefeated and a sparkling run of form with 3 clean sheets in 3 games and 19 goals for. 

Utah Storm 00/99 Lake won 4-1 which was vitally important as the winner advances on to quarterfinals.


Girls 14U

A couple of highly entertaining games were played in the Girls 14U division as teams locked up there spot in the quarterfinals. Arsenal CY 03 beat La Roca S JS 4-2 and USA Premier 03G BS beat Forza FC 03 DN 3-2.


Boys 15U

One of the pre-tournament favorites Sparta 02 Premier DM got back onto the right foot after dropping a group play game to La Roca TJ by winning their match 13-0. In another high scoring 15U boys game Copper Mountain 02 JW beat Arsenal TF 02 7-1.


Boys 12U

It turned out to be a good day for Sparta as their 12U boys team cruised to a 10-0 victory.
