2017 Regional Presidents Cup Day 1

It was a solid first day showing for the Utah based teams at Regional Presidents Cup with 10 teams picking up points, beating teams from Alaska, Arizona, Cal North, Colorado, Idaho, and Nevada.


Boys 13U

Provo Athletic Club had a tough first game against a good Cal North team and lost 4-1.

Boys 14U

Both Fire FC Blue Liverpool IA-UT and Gremio FC lost by scorelines of 3-1 and 3-0 to teams from Oregon and Idaho respectively.

Boys 15U

VKCOBRAS had the unenviable task of playing a team named Barcelona, and while not having the firepower of Messi, the Nevada based team still packed a punch winning 5-1.

Boys 16U

Liverpool FC 01B SG and Scls CV Aztecas are tied at the top of their respective groups, Liverpool playing a fascinating back and forth game with Alaska before winning 3-2. Scls CV Aztecas drew 1-1 with a team from Washington.

Boys 17/18U

Gremio had a tough matchup against Cal South but played well before finally losing by a score of 2-0.


Girls 13U

Just like with the boys 16U, both Utah teams sit tied at the top of their groups, with Rampage Black tying Blitzz from Montana, 1-1, and Blue Knights beating Challenge from Arizona 2-0.

Girls 14U

La Roca TJ ran into the buzzsaw that is Cal South and lost 7-0 while Wasatch Elite SC won 3-1 over an Idaho team.

Girls 15U

In Utah's best age group of the day both teams won. La Roca Premier KP beat Heat FC from Nevada 1-0. Impact beat a Cal North team 2-0.

Girls 16U

Utah Surf Davis lost to a Colorado team 4-2, but L30 Crush beat an Arizona team 5-0 to turn the age group around.

Girls 1718U

In our other group that went 2 for 2 on the day Celtic FC beat Cal North 2-1 and Rampage Black beat Colorado 3-1
