
FRISCO, Texas (March 18, 2019) – North Texas Soccer teams 14-Under Girls Dfeeters 05 Black and 18-Under Boys Solar 01 Stricker won their respective US Youth Soccer National League Divisions, and in turn have qualified to the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Overland Park, Kan. Teams wrapped up play over the last two weekends in Las Vegas.
17-Under Boys Solar 02 Castro currently leads the National League White division with one game remaining. The 2018-19 National League Frontier Conference leaders will compete against Michigan Jaguars 02 Green (MI) on a later date to determine who will advance to the National Championships. Overall, North Texas teams combined for 42 wins, 17 draws and 33 losses.
The National League provides a pathway for four teams per gender age group to qualify for the US Youth Soccer National Championships, sending the top finishers in each division of the 14U through 19U Boys and Girls age groups to compete for the National title. The four National League representatives will join the four regional champions at the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships, July 23-29 at the Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex in Overland Park, Kan.

14-Under Girls
DFeeters 05 Black opened its weekend in Las Vegas with a 3-0 win over CUP 05 Gold (OH-S) courtesy of goals from Delmy Benitez, Kaelynn January and Kyrsten Kizer, but the 2018 Southern Regional Champions found itself on the wrong end of the same score in a defeat to eventual National League Blue Champions NJ Stallions 05 Fire (NJ). After a 2-2 draw against CCV Stars 05 (AZ) thanks to goals from Bailey Malone and Samantha Lumpkin, Dfeeters edged out Nationals Union 05 Black (MI) 2-1 as Kizer and January each found the back of the net for the second time that weekend. Malone, Benitez and Katarina Campbell all scored in a convincing 4-0 win over Greater Binghamton FC 05 (NY-W) to close out the weekend and ultimately secure a National League Red title.
14-Under Boys
After two draws in the opening weekend last December, Dallas Kicks 05 reeled off four shut-out victories and a 2-2 draw to finish second in the Black Division. Edson Marchan, Edgar Munoz, Jamie Jimenez and Ulises Hernandez all scored in a 4-0 win against Germantown Legends 05 Black (TN). Jiminez and Jose Sanchez would each find the back of the net in a 2-0 win over Baltimore Celtic Elite (MD), while Marchan and Blake Galvez would score for Kicks in a 2-2 draw against ECU 05 Maroon (IN). Marchan would score in his fourth different game, and combined with a goal from Jaimes, resulted in Dallas Kicks defeating eventual champions Raiders FC 2005 (IL) 2-0. Dallas Kicks finished its weekend and first National League season on a high note with a 1-0 win over AFFC Storm (PA-W) as Munoz would score the game’s only goal.
Liverpool 05 Dalgish completed a strong first day in Las Vegas first with a 3-1 win against Midwest United FC 05 Royal before netting two early goals from Toledo Alexander and James Harper to earn a 2-0 victory over United USC 05 Premier (AL). The 2017-18 National League Frontier Conference champions would fall to the eventual top-two finishers, Pennine United 05 (OH-N) and Sporting KC Academy (KS) on the second day of play. The North Texas side secured a top-four finish in the division with a scoreless draw against Real Jersey FC (NJ) on the final day of play.

15-Under Girls
2018 Southern Regional Champions and National Championships semifinalists FCD 04 Blue continued its string of undefeated contests to open the National League with three draws in Las Vegas. After a pair of scoreless draws against Legends FC East Riverside (CA-S) and Utah Celtic FC (UT), Mary Grace Henninger scored in a 1-1 draw against LA Fire Jrs Red (LA). FC Dallas tied for the least goals conceded in the age group with two.
DFeeters 04 Voutier was narrowly defeated 2-1 at the hands of Brach FC 04 (CA-S) despite Samantha Courtwright’s opening goal, but the former National League Frontier Conference champions would end the weekend on a high note with two straight wins. Courtwright would again open the scoring, and Riley Stern’s 60th minute goal would give DFeeters the 2-1 win against Beadling 2004 South Red (PA-W). Courtwright would net her third and fourth goal of the National League season to go with Abby Ditzler’s third minute goal to defeat Florida Rush 04 (FL) 3-1 on the final day of play.
16-Under Girls
DFeeters 03 Black battled Indie Chicas 03 (ID) to a 1-1 draw as Kyleigh Rhodes found the back of the net. Amanda Walsh, Rhodes and Kara Campbell all scored as the 2018 Southern Regional Champions defeated Beach FC 2003 (CA-S) 3-0 on the second day of play. DFeeters wrapped up its initial National League season with a 4-1 win over Beadling 2003 Red (PA-W) as Rhodes made it three goals in three games in Las Vegas to go with a pair from Walsh and Ella Vrabel’s goal.
18-Under Boys
Solar 01 Stricker didn’t play in Las Vegas, but the North Texas side was able to celebrate its first National League title by virtue of going 3-0-2 in the Red Division.

Fever United 01 Penn were unable to notch points in its first two matches against Pacesetter Villa Red (OH-N) and TFA Elite 01 (OH-S), but Fever would finish the National League season with a scoreless draw against Legends FC 01 (CA-S).
