14 North Texas players selected to ODP Regional Team

Fourteen North Texas Soccer Olympic Development Program players were selected as part of the South Region ODP teams that will compete in the upcoming US Youth Soccer Girls Thanksgiving Interregional and the Boys Winter Interregional events.

The Thanksgiving Interregional will feature girls teams in the 2002/03, 2004, 2005 and 2006 age groups with South teams competing against players from the East, Midwest and West regions. The event will take place Nov. 22-28 in Boca Raton, Fla.

The Winter Interregional will feature boys teams in the 2002-06 age groups and will follow the same format as the Thanksgiving Interregional. The event will take place at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. from Dec. 17-21.

Of the 14 players that were selected, four have won North Texas Soccer State Cup titles. Aubry Eason won the 2019 State Cup with FC Dallas 04 Boys, Santiago Castorena won the 2018 State Cup title with Sporting United 01 Videla and both Jaden Thomas and Bronwynn Blair won the 2018 State Cup with Sting Dallas 06. Vivian Geesbreght led all scorers at the 2019 US Youth Soccer Southern Presidents Cup with nine as her Impact FC 06 Bertelsen team won the regional title. Roman Torres and Luis Martinez reached the finals of the 2018 Southern Regional Championships and finished in third place of the 2018-19 US Youth Soccer National League Black Division with FC Dallas 02 Premier.
