Every spring, we select players in each ODP age group to represent Arkansas ODP at a variety of summer camps across the southern US. Our goal is to send players to camps that match their current level of abilities, as assessed across all ODP training sessions held over the previous 5 months.
The ODP Academy Camp is the entry-level camp designed for players in our youngest two age groups (U12s and U13s). This camp takes place over 4 days, and is held in Arkansas in June each year.
At the next stage, players in the U13 and U14 age groups will travel out-of-state to either the Boys ODP Subregional Camp in Jackson, Mississippi or the Girls ODP Subregional Camp in Norman, Oklahoma. These events take place over a period of 5 days each June.
Selected players in the U14-U18 age groups will have an opportunity to receive more advanced training and competition at the ODP Subregional College Combine. The Combine will be held in Monroe, Louisiana over 3 days in late June, and will allow players from across the state to learn more about the college recruitment and selection process while also gaining more familiarity with their peers from across the state ahead of the Region III Camps.
New for 2014, we will be sending several teams with players from the U14-U18 age groups to the North Texas ODP Showcase. This event takes place over a weekend in early June, and will be another opportunity for players to compete against ODP teams from other states and to be scouted by college coaches.
Finally, selected players in the U14-U17 age groups will travel to Alabama in July for the Region III Trials. There, they will train under the guidance of a US Youth Soccer Region Staff Coach, compete against ODP State Teams from across the entire Southeast, and work to be selected to the Region III ODP Team. Players will also be seen by a significant number of active college coaches at each Region Camp; as an example, nearly 60 college coaches attended the Boys ODP Region III Camps in July 2011.

2014 Camp Selections
The selection lists for this year's ODP summer camps are available below. Please note the following details...
- We will no longer be including transportation by bus to any of our summer camps. This has allowed us to lower costs for most of our events, but players will need to make their own arrangements for transportation to each camp. We strongly encourage players to carpool to ODP events, and we will help facilitate these arrangements as each camp date approaches.
- Some players have been named as "Alternates" for certain camps. This will be indicated if "(ALT)" appears after your name. Alternates should not register for the specified camp at this time, but are strongly encouraged to leave those dates open so that they can participate should other players not be able to attend.
- We have provided two payment options for each camp--you can pay in full on your initial registration, or choose an installment option that will automatically process payments on the dates indicated. This will make registration much easier than in prior years, as you will not have to "re-register" to pay remaining installments in GotSoccer. If you need to arrange for a different payment plan schedule, please let us know and we can set up an individualized plan for you.
- Players who have been named on these lists for the ODP Academy Camp will receive priority registration for that camp through the initial registration deadline (April 28th). Players will be accepted into this camp on a "first-in" basis, and spaces are limited to a total of 32 boys and 32 girls. After the priority period ends, all other players from the 01 and 02 age groups who participated in the Winter Training Segment will be welcome to register until we reach the enrollment limit. This camp has filled up for the past three years, so be sure to register early to reserve your spot!
